The Hartland Baptist Church at Johnson Creek
will be the scene of a wedding at 7:30 this evening
when Miss Mary Lou Latta, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
George Witcop of Carmen Road, Middleport, becomes
the bride of Bradford Pease, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Stanley Pease of Slay ton Settlement Road, Lockport.
The Rev. Harold G. Ball, pastor of the church, will
officiate.
The church, for the candlelight
service was adorned
with candelabra, palms and
baskets of red carnations and
white gladioli. Bows decorated
the family pews.
The bride, to be given in
marriage by her father, will
choose a floor - length gown
of acetate taffeta with long
tapered sleeves, a lace appliqued
scooped neckline and a
bouffant skirt which terminates
in a chapel t r a in
caught up in a bow at the
back. A fingertip veil of illusion
will be caught by a
crown of pearls and aurora
boreal is crystals. She will
carry a cascade bouquet of
white roses, stephanotis, centered
with a corsage of red
sweetheart roses, with stands
of green ivy and streamers of
white satin.
ICE BLUE GOWN
Miss Beverly Pease, sister
of the groom, as maid of honor,
will wear an ice blue peau
gown with fitted bodice,
matching lace applique and
featuring a square neckline,
and short sleeves, and a bell
skirt. She will add a matching
crown with crystals and a
short circular veil and carry
a cascade bouquet of happiness
roses and eucalyptus.
Miss Lynn Colleen Latta,
niece of the bride, from Gaylord,
Mich., will be junior
bridesmaid in an ice blue
satin peau, fashioned with
short sleeves, full skirt and
matching headpiece. Her
bouquet will be a cascade of
happiness roses and eucalyptus.
Gowned in ice blue peau
and carrying a tiny bouquet
similar to that of the junior
bridesmaid will be Jill Meredith
Latta of Gaylord, as
flower girl.
Best man is Dr. William
Carl Latta. Gaylord, Mich.,
brother of the bride.
BROTHER ATTENDS
Ushering duties will be performed
by John Alex Latta
of Denton, Texas, brother of
the bride; and Larry Anson
of Snyder, cousin ofthegroom.
Mrs. Stuart Gaskill, of Medina,
church organist, will
play the wedding music and
also accompany Mrs. Hobart
Snell of Medina who will sing
"The Lord's Prayer" and
"Wedding Hymn."
Mrs. Witcop, mother of the
bride, will choose a royal blue
wool dress and black accessories,
accented with a red
sweetheart rose corsage.
Mrs. Pease will wear a
steel gray jacketed wool
sheath with white accessories
and a red sweetheart rose
corsage.
The groom's grandmother,
Mrs. Olive B. Pease of
Lockport, will choose an orchid
print, black accessories
and a red rose corsage.
A reception will be held in
the church dining hall immediately
following the ceremo-
ny. The table will be centered
with a four - tiered wedding
cake topped with a miniature
bride and groom. Green ivy,
white tapers and the attendants'
bouquets will complete
the table decorations.
TO VISIT CAPITAL
For their wedding trip to
Washington, D. C, Mrs.
Pease will change to a royal
blue wool suit, cocoa brown
coat with leopard and black
accessories and a red sweetheart
rose corsage.
Upon their return, the bride
and groom will make their
home at 7291 Slayton Settlement
Road, Lockport.
Out of town guests are expected
from Texas, Michigan.
Pennsylvania, Batavia, New
York, and Ontario, Canada.
Mr, and Mrs. Pease are
both graduates of Royalton-
Hartland Central School and
Mrs. Pease is a graduate of
Doyle Beauty School, Buffalo.
Pre - nuptial events for the
couple were showers given by
Miss Beverly Pease; Mrs.
Lawrence Krolak; Mrs. Gary
Bartlemus at the home of
Mrs. LaVerne Collins; and
the rehearsal party given by
the groom's parents, Mr and
Mrs. Stanley Pease at their
home.
