Mr. and Mrs. William J. Witkop of 332 Thompson
St., North Tonawanda, announce the engagement and
forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Barbara, to
Charles B Scofield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Burton L
Scofield of Hartfield, N.Y.
The future bride is a graduate
of State University College of Ed-
ucation at Buffalo where she majored
in mathematics.
Mr. Scofield was graduated from
the General Electric Machinist
Apprentice Course, He also received
a bachelor of science de-
gree from State University Col-
lege of Education at Buffalo.
At present both are junior high
school teachers in the James-
town school system.
The wedding will take place
Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. in Redeemer
Lutheran Church, North Tonawan-
da.

In a. late afternoon, wedding today in Redeemer
Lutheran Church, Miss Barbara Jane Witkop, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. William John Witkop, 332 Thompson
St., North Tonawanda became the bride of .Charles
Burton Scofield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Burton L. Scofield
of Hartfield, N.Y. °
Dr. Hugo G. Kleiner, D.D., per
formed the double ring, ceremony,
at 5 o'clock' before an altar en-
hanced with white carnations and
white candles in tapering candela-
bra. White satin bows and ivy
marked the family pews. 'Mrs. Anthony
Marzo, soloist, sang 0 Perfect
Love accompanied by Mrs.
John Hartwick, organist,
-The bride wore a gown of tissue
taffeta with a long sleeved
basque. The Sabrina neckline was
outlined with Alencon lace embroidered'
with seed pearls.'Appliques
of 'matching, lace and
pearls formed side panels and the
back of the voluminous cathedral-
length skirt was caught up in
pouf effect. Her veil of illusion
was caught to a coiffure clip half
hat of pleated tulle, lace and tiny
seed pearls. Given in marriage by
her father, she carried a cascade
boouquet of white butterfly rose,s
stephanotis and ivy.
Miss Patricia Csizmar, maid of
honor, wore a hedge green velvet
dress with short sleeved bodice
and draped cowl neckline at the
front converging to a deep V-cut
back. The very full skirt was
gathered to a lowered waistline.
A matching bow and streamers
falling to the hemline gave back
interest. She wore matching ac-
cessories and carried a cascade
of white carnations and ivy ac-
cented with green velvet ribbon.
The bridesmaids, the Misses
Sandra Witkop, sister of the bride,
and Cynthia Kohl, wore matching
gowns and carried similar bou-
quets accented with white velvet
ribbon.
The flower girl, Barbara Ender-
son, the bridegroom's niece, wore
a similarly styled frock and car-
ried a basket filled with white car-
nations.
David S. Hansen of Dewittville
was the best man, Ronald E.
Wood of Mayville and Willard An-
derson of Lakewood were usheers.
David Wark, the bride's godchild,
was the ring bearer.
The mother of the bride chose
a brown and beige tone-on-tone
brushed satin sheath dress with a
flowing side panel. She wore a
green deather hat and accessories
to match her dress and a corsage
of symbidium orchids. The bride-
groom's mother was attired in a
two - tone green brocade sheath
dress and jacket complemented
with brown accessories and an orchid
corsage.
A wedding supper and reception
will follow the ceremony in
the Lamplight Hotel, Delaware
St.. Tonawanda, for 150 guests.
Out of town guests will attend
from Lockport, Mayville, H a r t -
tield. Jamestown, Rochester and
Lowville, N.Y,, Columbus and
Coldwater, 0., Erie, Lewisburg
and Pittsburgh. Pa.
Hostesses at parties for the
bride were Mrs. Edward Fischer,
Mrs. Charles Till, Mrs. David
Wark and the Misses Patricia
Csizmar, Witkop and Kohl, and
Mrs. W. Richard Pickan of
Jamestown.
Mr. and Mrs Scofield will make
their home in 275 Buffalo St.,
Jamestown.
