Vases of white and pink glad-
foli and larkspur decorated the
altar of the Queen of Peace
Church in Buffalo on Saturday
morning August 28 when Miss
Dorothy Gabalski daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Gabalski became
the bride of Edward Witkowski,
son of Mrs. Frances Witkowski of
Fifth Ave., North Tonawanda.
Rev. John Gabalski, brother of
the bride officiated at the Nuptial
High Mass with a double ring
ceremony. Rev. Gabalski was as-
sisted by Rev. Joseph Skupien as
deacon and the Rev. Casimer Zak
deacon.
Walter Bakos sang Millard's
"Ave Maria" and the "Laudamus
a" and L. Podgorski rendered
two violin solos.
The bride given in marriage by
her father wore a white saatin
gown with a long train and a
fingertip veil with a sweetheart
crown trimmed with pearl bead-
ing. She carried an arm bouquet
of white roses and lilies of the
valley.
Miss Rita Gabalski, the bride's
sister, as maid fo honor, wore a
nile green Nylon marquisette gown
with illusion neckline, side pep-
lum. She wore a headdress of
American Beauty roses and long
nile green gloves. She carried an
arm bouquet of American Beauty
roses tied with a nile green rib-
bon.
The bridesmaids, Miss Teresa
Kazmierczak and Miss Clara Zyg-
munt wore gowns of pale orchid
and yellow styled like that of
the maid of honor. They wore
headpieces of American Beauty
roses and gloves to match their
gowns and carried arm bouquets
of American Beauty roses tied
with ribbon to match their gowns.
Marion Witkowski attended his
brother as best man and the ush-
ers were Henry Maturski, cousin
of the bride and Edmund Gabal-
ski, brother of the bride.
The bride's mother chose a
grey crepe dress with black ac-
cessories. Mrs. Witkowski wore a
green crepe dress. Both wore cor-
sages of American Beauty roses
centered with a white orchid.
A wedding breakfast for the
immediate families and bridal
party was served at the Queen of
Peace parish hall where a recep-
tion was later attended by 200
guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Witkowski left for
a wedding trip to Canada and
upon their return will make their
home in Rumbold Ave., North
Tonawanda.
