Mrs. Clara Schnoor Dies In Newfane At 81
NEWFANE - Mrs. Clara (Donner) Schnoor, 81, of 6096 Karen Ave., widow of Walter Schnoor, died Monday at Inter-Community Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Wilson on Sept. 14, 1891, she was a daughter of William and Bertha (World) Donner, and had been resident here for the past 18 years. She formerly resided on Ide Road, Wilson. Mr. Schnoor died in April 1953. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church here. Surviving are a daughter and son, Miss Ruth Schnoor of Newfane and Lawrence W. Schnoor of Lockport; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Herbert (Rose) Schultz of Ransomville, Mrs. Jack (Doris) Schoonens and Albert Donner, both of Lockport and Edward Donner of North Tonawanda; a granddaughter, Mrs. John (Donna) Healy of Lockport; three great-grandchildren, Michael, Andrew and Sean Healy; also several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6129 East Ave., Newfane where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday from Faith Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert Klingebiel officiating. Burial will be in North Ridge Lutheran Cemetery, Cambria. Contributions to the Faith Lutheran Church building fund are suggested by the family.
