In a ceremony July 16, in Ascension Church, Miss
Brenda Louise Wright, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
George Wright of 219 Hagen Ave., North Tonawanda,
became the bride of Dominick Joseph Sorto, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Louis Sorto of 284 Spruce St., North Tonawanda.
The Rev. Francis A. Hunt officiated.
Given in marriage by her fa-
ther the bride wore a gown of
white Chantilly lace over satin designed
with long sleeves, a Sabrina
neckline and a full skirt with
front tiered ruffles and a chapel
train. Her fingertip veil was attached
to a seed pearl crown and
she carried white carnations in a
cascade arrangement centered
with a white orchid.
Attendants for the bride were
her sister, Nancy Wright as maid
of honor and the Misses Jean Gar-
ner, Annette Schultz, Sharon Sorto
and Mrs. Wayne Richau. They
were dressed alike in street-
length white silk organza dresses
with aqua taffeta cummerbunds
and aqua embroidered flowers on
the bodices and skirts. They car-
ried white lace fans with yellow
roses.
Gary Doebler attended the bride-
groom as best man. Ushers were
Jerry Dietrich, Louis Sorto and
Joe Supparits and Dale Janowsky.
The wedding breakfast and din-
ner in Ascension Church hall were
followed by a reception in Adams
Fire Hall.
After a wedding trip through the
Adirondacks and Lake George re-
gions of New York state, Mr. and
Mrs. Sorto will stay temporarily
at the Hotel Markeen, Buffalo. Mr.
Sorto is to report soon for an Army
assignment in Japan for the next
year.
Showers for the bride were giv-
en by a group of hostesses, Mes-
dames Allen Hardy, Raymond
Hardy, Edward Hardy, Claude
Card and Lester Hardy and a
shower was given by Mrs. Josep
Wright, Associated at the North
Tonawanda city hall entertained
the bride at a luncheon.
