NORTH TONAWANDA, Jan. 13
-Frank Schmidt, 65, died last evening
at his home, 36 Rumbold avenue.
He was born in Hungary and
had lived here the last 37 years. An
employe of the Rudolph Wurlltzer
Manufacturing company for 30
years, he had been a foreman there
the last 27 years.
Surviving are his wile, Elizabeth;
a daughter, Mrs. John Zipp, of this
city; two sons, William, of Wheatfield,
and Frank, of this city, and
six grandsons.
Last rites will be held tomorrow at
3:30 p. m. at the home with the
Rev. Theodore Mayer officiating.
Interment will be in Friedens
cemetery.

afternoon at 3:30 from the residence.

Friedens cemetery. Mr. Schmidt
wag a member of the Twin City
Workmen's Sick and Death Benefit
Society.

Thursday in DeGraff Memorial
Hospital.
A lifelong resident of North

A World War II Army veteran,
he was former president of the
Church Council of Friedens United
Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife,

Donald F. Zipp, 76, of Kenmore, Tuesday (July 14, 2015) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Donald was born in North Tonawanda on August 24, 1938 to John and Elona (Schmidt) Zipp. Donald was a U.S. Navy Veteran, retired Conrail employee, in his spare time he enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bisons and Sabres.
Donald is survived by his brother John (Barbara) Zipp. Private graveside services were held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to Friedens Church in Donalds Memory.

BERNDT - Joanne (nee Schmidt)
Age 67 of the City of Tonawanda, died peacefully October 8, 2017 at her residence under the care of Hospice Buffalo. Wife of 42 years of Dennis A. Berndt; mother of John (Lena) Berndt and Jeffrey (Allison) Berndt; grandmother of Jack, Abigail and Reese; daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy (nee Smith) Schmidt; sister of Julie (David) Newman and the late Michael Schmidt; aunt of Kristie (Chris); and daughter-in-law of Norma (late Gerald) Berndt. Joanne had been employed as an elementary school teacher for the City of Tonawanda School System, teaching at Delaware, Highland and Mullen Schools for more than 20 years. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday (October 14) from 2:30 - 5:00 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William Street (between Morgan and Broad Streets) in Tonawanda, where a Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM following the visitation. Everyone welcome. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Buffalo or to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
