The father of a Wilson woman,
John F. Bartel Jr., 69. of 63
Rumbold Avenue, North Tonawanda,
died Saturday (July 6.
1983) at the DeGraff Memorial
Hospital following a brief illness.
Mr. Bartel was employed as a
carpenter in North Tonawanda
for some 40 year« prior to retiring
four years ago.
His wife, the former Jennie Cramer,
died in 1959.
Surviving are four daughters,
Mrs. Harold Smith of Wilson;
Mrs. Arthur Maerten of Tonawanda;
Mrs. James Schafff of
North Tonawanda and Mrs. Neil
Barbour of Phoenix, Ariz.; 12
grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
Friends may call at the Hamp
Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and
Seymour Streets, Tonawanda,
where funeral services will be
held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
Burial will be in St. Mathew's
Cemetery, Town of Wheatfield.

He was a member of St. Matthew's
Lutheran Church and was
employed as a carpenter at Richardson
Boat Company more than
40 years, retiring four years ago.
His wife, Jennie (nee Cramer),
died in March, 1959. Surviving
are four daughters, Mrs. Harold
Smith of Wilson, N.Y., Mrs. Arthur
Maerten of Tonawanda,
Mrs. James Schaff of North Tonawanda
and Mrs. Neil Barbour of
Phoenix, Ariz. Twelve grandchildren
and four great - grandchildren
also survive. Friends may
call at Hamp Funeral Home Inc.,
Adam-Seymour Streets, Tonawanda,
where services will be Tuesday
at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. A. W.
Moldenhauer will officiate. Burial
will be in St Matthew's Cemetery.

Jennie (daughter of CRAMER, Christian and FRY, Sarah) was born about 1889 in Town of Pendleton, Niagara County, NY; died on 31 Mar 1959 in Degraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY.
