    Lockport, he was born Nov.
    18, 1893, and was the son of

    for most of his life on Locust
    Avenue, he was l a t er
    employed by the Harrison
    Radiator Division of General
    Motors Corp. for nine years,
    retiring in 1963.

    Clyde A. Rankie; a daughter,

    eight grandchildren and

Berniece worked for Harrison radiator for 20 years in production retiring in 1976. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lockport where she was a Deaconess. Berniece enjoyed spending her winters in Florida with her husband, the late Edwin Baldwin who passed away in 1986. Berniece is survived by her son Richard A. (Virginia) Baldwin of Rochester Hills, MI; grandmother of three and great grandmother of nine; sister of Clyde (late Virginia) Rankie of Lockport and the late W. Frederick (Martha) Rankie; also survived by several nieces and nephews.     LOCKPORT -
    W. Frederick Rankie passed away on May 25, 2014 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born in Royalton on June 14, 1928, he was the son of Chester and Alice (Ramming) Rankie.
    Fred worked for the Town of Lockport for over 40 years where he was the Highway Superintendent retiring in 1993. He also ran a small precast concrete business for many years while working for the town. Fred was a member of the Niagara County Highway Association and enjoyed going to his cabin in the Southern Tier where he would hunt and do landscaping. Fred was predeceased by his first wife of 40 years, Marie (Hebeler) Rankie; and his daughter, Deborah Gaskill.
    Fred is survived by his wife of 23 years, Martha (Kroll) Rankie; father-in-law of Kenneth Gaskill; grandfather of K. Zachary (Elizabeth) Gaskill and Evan C. (Luciana) Gaskill; great-grandfather of Leah, Ellie, Lucy and Grace; step-father of Cheryl, Elizabeth, Richard, Michael, and Linda; step-grandfather of Sarah, Tommy, Joey, Marisa, Jimmy, David, Clay, and Justin; brother of Clyde (late Virginia) Rankie and Berniece (late Ed) Baldwin, both of Lockport; and brother-in-law of Bill Kroll of Florida.
    Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, May 29th from 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, where funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30th at 10 AM.     Obituary of Clyde Rankie

    Clyde A. Rankie passed away November 19th, 2015 in the Odd Fellow Rebekah Rehab and Health Care Facility under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born January 23, 1931 in Lockport, he was the son of Chester and Alice (Zacharia) Rankie. Clyde joined the Army in February, 1952 served in Korea. While in Korea he was awarded 3 Bronze Stars, attaining the rank of Sergeant before leaving the service in November, 1953. Clyde was married for 48 years to the late Virginia A. (Hebeler) Rankie who passed away November 16, 2000. With his late wife, Clyde owned and operated Long's Market on Chestnut Street, where he was a butcher, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 319 and the Forth Degree of the Council; B. Leo Dolan, Post 410, American Legion, Brauers Eucher Club and enjoyed bowling, hunting, gardening and most of all his family.

    Clyde is survived by his children Douglas (Michelle) Rankie, Darlene (Wayne) Morse, Dan Rankie, Duane (Diane) Rankie and Donald (Cassie) Rankie all of Lockport; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and his dear friend Peg Dayfert. He was predeceased by his brother Fred Rankie and sister Bernice Baldwin.

    Relatives and friends may call Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 3 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning November 23, 2015 at 10 AM in Good Shepherd Church, 5443 Tonawanda Creek Road, Pendleton, NY. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery. Memorials to the Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.

    Doris R. Wiltberger of Lockport, NY, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 in Elderwood of Lockport. Born on February 18, 1926 in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Florence (VanBuren) Rankie. Doris appreciated nature, loved animals and wildlife, and took great delight in her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family. She was a lifelong member of First English Lutheran Church.Doris was predeceased by her husband, Henry R. Wiltberger, her son, Thomas Wiltberger, son-in-law, Craig Harmon and sister, Evelyn Wilber. She is survived by her children, Pamela (late Craig) Harmon and James B. Wiltberger; grandchildren, Corey (Allison) Harmon and Todd (Jennifer) Harmon, great-grandchildren, Samantha Grace and Max Henry and several nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Friday, February 19th at 9:30 AM. in Cold Springs Cemetery.     Gerald Earl Bull, 92, died peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2020. Born May 20, 1927 to Earl Hoffman Bull and Dorothy (Rankie) Bull, stepson of Floyd Joshua Rockwood. He graduated from Lockport High School in 1944. He served in the Army from 1945-1947 as a tech 4th grade, serving for ten months in Occupied Japan, receiving the Army of Occupation Medal and the World War ll Victory Medal. He was a charter member and proud exempt member of South Lockport Volunteer Fire Company, having served as assistant fire chief and fire chief. He worked for the Town of Lockport Highway Dept. retiring in 1984 as a mechanic and motor equipment operator. Devoted husband of the late Joyce (Toenniessen) Bull, married June 19, 1948 at First English Lutheran Church, Lockport where he was a member. He built their first house and worked diligently on updating their second house. He could build and fix anything. Past member of the Town of Lockport Historical Society, he was interested and knowledgeable about local history. He was known for his abundant gardens and his love of hunting and fishing. Past active in Wrights Corners Boy Scouts. Woodworking became his hobby in retirement.Survived by four children: Linda Stevens, Donna Macaluso, both of Lockport, Richard (Sheila) Bull of Middleport and Gary (Diane) Bull of Allegany, Also six beloved grandchildren, five great grandchildren, four step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Geraldine Luckman, nieces, nephews and dear cousins.Interment will be at North Ridge Cemetery for family.     Donna L. (Rankie) Swann of the Town of Lewiston passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2020 in Niagara Hospice House. She was 78. She was born February 17, 1942, the daughter of the late Mervin and Rachel Rankie.
    Donna was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children. She loved the times she spent with her dear family and friends, including breakfasts at Jay's Place and her ice cream from Hoover's Dairy.
    Donna was predeceased by her husband, Raymond F. Swann in 2010 and a sister, Nancy Poteet. She is survived by her two children, LuAnn (Beryl) Coleman and Brian (Kristin Johnson) Swann; her step grandchildren; and step great-grandchildren; many wonderful friends, Carol, Izzy, Louise, Yvonne and Max; her wonderful neighbors, whom she thought of as family, Lysle and Betsy Newberry.
    Per Donna's final wish, she donated her body to the University of Buffalo Medical School. The interment and services will be private at the convenience of the family in North Ridge Cemetery.
    The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to all the staff at Niagara Hospice House, who provided great comfort to her and her family in her final days.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice Inc., or a favorite charity of one's choice.

    LOCKPORT — Deborah A. Gaskill, of Lockport, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at home, after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. Deborah was born on January 28, 1951 in Lockport, NY. She was the daughter of Frederick and the late Marie (Hebeler) Rankie.

    Deborah was a graduate of DeSales Catholic High School in 1968 and D'Youville College in 1972. She was a member of the Lockport Community Cable Commission, Cold Springs Cemetery Association, Barge Canal Optimist Club, Town of Lockport Republican Committee and a past chairman of the Town of Lockport Republican Committee. She retired from the Niagara County Water District, was a former Town of Lockport Deputy Town Clerk, council member for eight years, Deputy Supervisor for two years and a member of the Town Recreation Commission for 31 years. She was honored by the Niagara County Federation of Republican Women as a "Woman of Distinction" and in 2010, the Town of Lockport Day Road Park soccer fields were dedicated as the "Gaskill Soccer Fields" in her honor.

    Deborah is survived by her husband of 37 years, Kenneth R. Gaskill; sons, K. Zachary (Elizabeth) and Evan C. (Luciana); grandmother of Leah, Ellie and Lucy and another granddaughter arriving in November; stepmother, Martha Rankie; aunt, Patricia (late Robert) Nodine; uncle, Clyde (late Virginia) Rankie; brother-in-law, Richard (Pam) Gaskill; sisters-in-law, Doris (Lloyd) Dent, Linda Schultz and Marjorie Loupret; also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and stepsisters.

    Relatives and friends may call Monday, September 23, 2013, from 2-8 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.     LOCKPORT — Dana C. McIntyre entered into rest on August 18, 2012 at the Eastern Niagara Hospital at Lockport. Born on June 15, 1947 in Lockport, he is the son of Shirley and the late Howard McIntyre.

    Dana retired from Harrison Radiator after 30 years, where he was a welder. He enjoyed hunting, antique cars and was a member of the Rapids Rod and Gun Club.

    He was predeceased by his wife, Terri (Cavahnaro) McIntyre in 2009. He is survived his sons, Richard (Donna) McIntyre and Randy (Karen) McIntyre. Grandfather of Sammantha, Sara and Megan McIntyre. Son of Shirley McIntyre. Brother of Lynn McIntyre and Kristen (Alan) Hartman. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

    The funeral will be held on Wednesday at a time to be announced at the Taylor & Reynolds Funeral home, corner of Transit and Niagara Streets. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials to South Lockport Fire Hall would be appreciated by the family.
