Rd , Newfane. died Sunday
(Dec. 11, 1960) in his home.
Mr. Brewer was born Aug. 15,
1905, in the Town of Porter, the
the son of Charles and Martha
Hillman Brewer. He resided in
Olcott for about 15 years before
moving here a year and a half
ago.
He was active in the Niagara
County Civil Defense Auxliary Po-
lice, the CIO and had been em-
ployed at Harrison Radiaor Div-
ision, General Motors Corp., for
many years.
Mr. Brewer was a membr of
St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, Marg-
aret; two daughters, Mrs. Ted
Gil of Olcott and Mrs. Robert
Thorsby of Gasport; two sisters,
Mrs. Elwood Rohring of Wilson
and Mrs. Alex Szur of Lockport;
two brothers,, Chester and Herb-
ert S., both of Lockport, and two
granddaughters.
Friends may call at the Glenn
H. Corwin Funeral Home, Inc.,
from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 where
service will be held at 2 Wednes-
day afternoon with the Rev. Rob-
ert W. Klingebiel officiating. Bur-
ial will be in Corwin Cemetery.

Brewer, 49, of 536 Willow
St., died Friday (June 19,
1964) at Parry Sound, Ont.,
of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Brewer, an insurance
broker, left Lockport early
Fjriday with a giro up; of
friends f o r a fishing t r ip
and was stricken on his arrival
at Parry Sound.
He was born Sept. 19, 1914,
in the Town of Porter, the
son of Charles W. and Martha
Hillman Brewer. He was a veteran
of World War II and
served in the Army Signal
Corps.
Mr. Brewer is survived by
his widow, Frances Brewer; a
daughter, Miss Candace Brewer,
of Lockport; a brother,
Chester S. Brewer, of Lockport;
arid two sisters, Mrs. Elwood
Rohring, of Wilson, and
Mrs. Alex Szur, of Lockport.

Won 1948 Jayete Award
Mr. Brewer also was a district
commissioner of the
Lewiston Trail Council, Boy
Scouts of America* In 1948 he
was awarded the Lockport
Junior Chamber of Commerce
Distinguished Service Award.
He opened his insurance
brokerage in Lockport in 1938*
and following his discharge
from the service in 1946, he
purchased' the Henry Brumley
Agency. In 1958 he pur
chased the Shapleigh-Wright
Agency.
Services will be held at the
Prudden and Kandt Funeral
Home Monday, at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Cold Spring
Cemetery.

home from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p'jn. today and Sunday.
