William Blonkowski, 74, of 24
Waterman St died at his home
after a short illness, Thursday
morning (June 27. 1968).
Mr. Blonkowski was born
March 30. 1894 in Amsterdam.
N..Y, and came to Lockport in
1923. In 1958 he retired as a machinist
at Harrison Radiator Division,
General Motors Corp-
He was a member of St Joseph's
Church, a Third Degree
member of Lockport Council,
319 Knights of Columbus, a
charter member of the Sacred
Heart Society, of which he was
a past president and was secre
tary-treasurer at the time of
his death. He was also a mem-
ber of the Polish Roman Cath-
olic Union of America.
He was the husband of the
late Mrs. Stella Blonkowski.
He is survived by one son and
eight daughters, Stanley Blon
kowski, Mrs. John (Jean) Ko
walski, Mrs. John (Lota) Bier
nacki, Mrs. George (Frances)
Sahr, Miss Dorothy Blonkowski,
Mrs. Matthew (Helen) Dubai,
and Mrs. Adam (Dolores) Dubaj,
all of Lockport; Mrs. Ray
mond (Mary) Nowak, Buffalo
and Mrs. Edward (Loraine)
Sherman, Williamsville.
Also, one sister and one broth
er, Mrs. Stella Galawski and
Chester Blonkowski, both of Poland;
one sister - in - law, Mrs
Mary Goodwin of Buffalo; 21
grandchildren, four great grandchildren
and several nieces and
nephews.
Friends may call at his home,
24 Waterman St., where funeral
services will be held Saturday
morning at 8:15 and 9 a.m. at
St. Joseph's Church. Interment
will be in St. Patrick's Ceme
tery. The Rosary will be recited
Friday evening at 8:30 p.m.

Stanley passed away at 99 years of age on Thursday August 4, 2016. He was born in Amsterdam, NY on March 23, 1917 the son of the late William and Stella (Stefanowski) Blonkowski. He married the former Lillian Groff on August 27, 1949, they were married for 53 years before she predeceased him on January 23, 2003. He is survived by his children; Kathryn (the late James) Berhalter, William and AnnMarie Blonkowski, Elizabeth and Thomas Marks. Ten grandchildren; Karen and Adin Bradley, Margaret Berhalter, Nicholas and Caroline Blonkowski, Thomas Blonkowski and Nicole Svajlenka, Peter Marks, Laura and Bradd Gower. Four great-grandchildren; Ava and Alexander Bradley and Charles and Quinn Blonkowski. He was the older brother of eight sisters; Loraine and Edward Sherman who survive him, the late Genevieve and John Kowalski, Mary and Raymond Nowak, Lota and John Bienacki, Frances and George Sahr, Dorothy Blonkowski, Helen and Matthew Dubaj, Delores and Adam Dubai and many nieces and nephews.


He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp. that built the Hoover Dam, cleared the Alleghany Forest. He was a veteran of World War II attaining the rank of Captain. He served in the Army Air Corp as a navigator bombardier on a B-25 in the African and Italy invasions with the 9th Air Force. After the service he attended Erie County Technical School which became Erie County Community College. He graduated as a Mechanical Draftsman. He was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church, the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, a charter member of the Lockport Disabled Veterans Chapter 157, an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan. Most of all he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather.


Relatives and friends may call on Monday August 8th from 2-4 and 7-9PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home 242 Genesee St. Lockport, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10 AM in All Saints Parish Oratory, 391 Market Street, Lockport. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to the Disabled American Veterans, 130 S. LOCKPORT — Frances B. Sahr, of Newfane, NY, wife of the late George E. Sahr, entered into rest Thursday, December 8, 2011 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport, NY. She was born in Lockport, NY, May 24, 1924, the daughter of the late William and Stella Stephanowski Blonkowski. Frances last worked for Bewley Seekins Insurance Company in Lockport, NY, as an Insurance Secretary. Her husband, George E. Sahr, died in 1989. Member of St. Brendan on the Lake (St. Bridget's Parish), St. Patrick's Mothers Club, DeSales Mothers Club, Greater Lockport Insurance Club, UAW Travel Club, volunteered at Windham Lawn Home for Children and worked at Newfane Dugout as Mom for 10 years.

Mother of Barbara (Michael) Feeley of Newfane, NY. Grandmother of Richard (Debbie) Beutel, Jr., Randy (Julie Walsh) Beutel, Michael (Sabrina) Feeley and Kelly (Joshua) Scalf. Great-grandmother of Zachary and Jordan Beutel, Evan Jenkins, Malaina Feeley, Owen, Sarah and Olivia Scalf. Dolores Blonkowski Dubaj, matriarch of five generations passed away October 16th, 2015. She was born March 14th, 1931, in Lockport, NY, the daughter of William and Stella Stefanowski Blonkowski.

Dolores attended design school and was a talented seamstress, making clothes for her three daughters and then some; she also loved her flower gardens, walking, bird watching, knitting, and beading, but most of all family was Dolores's life and everything revolved around the family .

Dolores was the wife of the late Adam L. Dubaj who passed away June 13, 2003; dear mother of Marie Nunnari of Fairport, NY, Diane (Dallas Ward) Yerdon and Lynn (Mont) Miller; loving grandmother of Angela Hanczarowski, Michelle (Jonathan) Price, Stephanie (Manar) Alnuaimi, Brian Crow, Eileen Terdon and Louise Miller; great grandmother of Timothy Leising, Andrew Alnuaimiand twins Hanna and Hailie Skates; great-great grandmother of Edith and Emma Price and great-great-great grandmother of Addison Leising. Dolores was the sister of Stanley Blonkowski, Loraine (Edward ) Sherman and the late Frances Sahr, Lota Biernacki, Dorothy Blonkowski, Helen Dubai, Jean Kowalski and Mary Nowak; she is also survived by her dear friend and beau, Harold Seeloff; sister-in-law Florence Snyder and her daughter Grace and Ron Bilby; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Dee Biernacki Morotchie passed away January 9, 2020 surrounded by family at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Born August 28, 1948 in Lockport she was the daughter of John J. and Lota (Blonkowski) Biernacki. Dee was a teacher at Royalton Hartland Central School District for 20 years. After her retirement from teaching, she began a second career as a Labor Relations Specialist with New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) until her retirement in 2011.Dee was an active member of Lockport College Women’s Club and the Kenan Arts Council. Barbara G. Sahr Feeley, 78, of Winter Haven, Florida, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on May 28, 2023, at home. She was born on March 8, 1945, to George and Frances Sahr in Lockport. She married Michael Feeley on September 23, 1978.
Barbara is survived by her husband Michael J. Feeley of '146 years'! Her children, Richard J. (Debbie) Beutel, Randy R. Beutel, Michael A. (Sabrina) Feeley, Kelly M. (Joshua) Scalf; grandchildren Zachary and Jordan Beutel, Owen, Sarah, and Olivia Scalf, Evan Jenkins and Malaina Feeley.
Barbara attended DeSales High School where she was very active in musicals. After graduation in 1962, she attended Doyle Beauty School in Buffalo, NY. She was a hairdresser for many years and owned her own salons. She was also a resident volunteer at Wyndham Lawn home for children for 30 years, she was also the hairdresser for the children. Along with her many years of hairdressing, she chose another path with real estate with Carriage Realty. She was a secretary for several years with Dr. Gilkar before opening the Dug Out Bar in Newfane with her husband Michael throughout the nineties, where she adopted many more 'children.' After several years of being a snow bird, she permanently moved to Winter Haven Florida with her husband Mike.
She was a member of the ladies auxiliary for Lockport VFW and Secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary for Amvets of Lakeland Florida for several years. Barb was awarded as Ladies Auxiliary member of the year for Amvets in 2022.
Barb had the most angelic and contagious smile that could light up the darkest sky. If you were in her presence, you could not help but smile with her. She was loved by so many.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frances and George Sahr.
There will be no prior visitation. Funeral will be at Glenwood Cemetery on August 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Lockport, NY and a celebration of life at Scruples Bar on 2875 Main St., Newfane, NY immediately following.
