North Tonawanda - Ida S. Schumacher, 70, of 522 Willow Ave. North Tonawanda, died Thursday (June 25, 1959) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in Buffalo she had lived in North Tonawanda for 36 years. She is survived by her husband, Henry W. Sr. six sons, Arnold of Rochester; Lester, Howard, Henry, Edward and Glenwood of North Tonawanda; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Lewis, Lockport and Mrs. Robert Schroeder of North Tonawanda; two brothers, Ernest and Albert Dumke of the Tonawandas, four sisters, Mrs. Albert Schultz of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Florence Knorr of Philadelphia, Mrs. Frank Perkins of Cattaraugus and Mrs. Roy Barrick of Blackwell, Okla.; 20 grandchildren and none great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Friends may call at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., where services will be held Saturday at 2 P.m. Rev A. W. Moldenhauer officiating. Born in North Tonawanda, NY on October 30, 1929; daughter of the late Henry and Ida (Dumke) Schumacher. Leona was employed as a sales clerk at the former Bon Ton, located in the Summit Park Mall. She was a member of the Wheatfield Seniors, the Historical Society of North German Settlements, St. John Lutheran Church, Wheatfield, and enjoyed traveling with her husband, Robert E. Schroeder, who preceded her in death on January 18, 2017. 
Survivors include two sons, Donald of Buffalo, and Ronald of New York City.

Gordon L. Schumacher, age 89, of the Town of Wheatfield, passed away June 13, 2024. Gordon retired from Spaulding Fiber after 38 years of service and had been a volunteer for the Twin City Meals on Wheels. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church (E. Felton St.) and St. Martin’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, music concerts, and long drives in the Southern Tier. He was born November 15, 1934, his parents were the late Lester and Edna (Schmidt) Schumacher. He was the husband of the late Doris (Moll) Schumacher. Beloved father of Terry (Jennifer nee Arnst) Schumacher, Paula Cofield, and the late Sandra Chank. Father-in-law of Michael Chank. James E."Jim" Lewis 76, of Cambria  NY, husband of the late Katherine A. “Kate (Phillips) Lewis entered into rest on Friday May 3, 2019 in the Schoellkopf Health Center Niagara Falls, NY.
Born in North Tonawanda, NY on June 01, 1942 he was the son of the late Arthur and the late Louise (Schumacher) Lewis. Jim graduated from Newfane High School, and on June 8th, 1963 he married the late Katherine Phillips.
Jim was a Serviceman, employed by GM/Harrison Radiator in Lockport where he retired after 32 years. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren also helping his son Steve with his racecar racing at Ransomville Speedway on Friday nights.
 
Surviving is his children Steve (Cathy) Lewis of Cambria and Tammy (Mark) Reeson of Gasport; his grandchildren, Steven Lewis, Sarah Lewis and Mark Reeson. Jim is predeceased by his sisters Beulah, Myrna and Donna also a grandson James Reeson.

Obituary for Richard "Rick" Schumacher
Richard "Rick" Schumacher, 65, of North Tonawanda, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones on Monday (May 27, 2024) at Buffalo General Hospital. Rick was born in North Tonawanda on September 18, 1958 to Donald and Laura (Staschak) Schumacher.
Rick worked his entire life at Mike’s Service (NT), from sweeping the floors as a child to owning the shop in recent years - fixing every car in between. He was a hockey coach for the Wheatfield Blades and Starpoint Hockey Club for over 35 years and a racer and crew chief at Ransomville Speedway. He was a devoted father and grandfather, always putting his family first.
Rick was predeceased by his father Donald Schumacher.
Rick is survived by his sons Ryan and Steve (Julie) Schumacher, mother Laura (Staschak ) Schumacher, sister Debbie (Kevin) McCumber, grandchildren Cole and Evan Schumacher, aunt Sharon York, uncles Mike Staschak, and Gordy Schumacher, nieces and nephews Dan (Margo) McCumber, Kevin and David McCumber, Dina ( Kyle ) Allen, Nathan and Connor Allen. Also surviving are many close cousins, and special friends.
