WILSON-Mrs. Florence A. Swick, 77, of 4421
North; Ridge Road, died Thursday (Aug. 4, 1966) in
Mount View Hospital, Lockport, after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Swick was a former
teacher, for 25 years, in area
district schools and at Colonial
Village.
She was born June 1, 1889,
in the Town of Porter, the
daughter of Joseph and Cora
Perry Pickle. She married
Louis J. Swick on June 21,
1911, in Wilson. They made
their home in Willow Road
until last November.
Mrs. Swick joined First
Baptist Church here in 1917
and taught Sunday school
there for 45 years. She also
served on the diaconate board
for several years.
In addition to her husband,
survivors include two daughters,
Mrs, James (Dorothy)
Halstead, Newfane, and Mrs.
Marjorie Sweet, at home; a
brother, Leon Pickle, Niagara
Falls, and three grandchildren.
Starting- tonight, f r i e n ds
may call at the Hamilton and
Clark Chapel, with the family
being present from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m.
Sunday at the chapel, Rev.
Harold Faba officiating. Burial
will be in North Ridge
Cemetery.
