    NORTH TONAWANDA — Glenn C. Meyers, Sr., entered eternal life on Saturday, December 17, 2011 under the loving care of his wife, children and grandchildren.

    Born on January 10, 1932, he was the youngest son of the late John and Caroline (Moeller) Meyers. He was predeceased by his brothers, Melvin and John; and his sister, Doloris. He is survived by a sister, Carolyn.

    Glenn attended Gratwick School #4 and graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1950. While in high school he captained the Lumberjacks Football Team and still holds school records for his towering punts.

    In 1952, Glenn married his high school sweetheart, Shirley D. Boehnke, who survives him. They were blessed with three children, Glenn (Ruth), Mark (Wendy) and Annette (Loren Beutel).Surviving also are eight grandchildren, Julia, Bethany and Nathan Beutel and Schuyler, Jacob, Rachel (Binga), Andrew and Benjamin Meyers. Glenn is also survived by many nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Glenn's true legacy is his love of family who he raised with firmness and discipline.

    Glenn proudly served in the United States Navy from 1950-1954, and often remembered those days with fondness. He was employed at National Grinding Wheel in North Tonawanda, and later by the Niagara County Sheriff's Department. He was a past member of St. Johnsburg Fire Company, a member of the Pendleton Center United Methodist Church, the Retired Deputies Association, The North Tonawanda Football Hall of Fame and The Sanborn American Legion. Glenn also coached little league baseball and football in North Tonawanda and the Town of Wheatfield.



    Glenn donated his body to the University at Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. A celebration of his life will be held at Pendleton Center United Methodist Church at the corner of Bear Ridge Road and Campbell Blvd. on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Pastors Thomas Kraft and Matthew Kofahl officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives at 9:45 AM. Donations may be made to Pendleton Center United Methodist Church or Niagara Hospice.

    Michael Meyers of Newfane, NY husband of Sue Keller Meyers entered into rest on Tuesday August 11, 2020 at home under care of Hospice. He was born in North Tonawanda on February 7, 1953, the son of the late John and Beulah Lewis Meyers. Mike worked at Ag-Pak as a welder. He was a member of the Wilson Conservation Club and enjoyed hunting and playing fast pitch softball. Mike enjoyed spending time at his camp with the kids.  Father of Mike (Annette) Meyers, Michele (Mark) Phillips and Christopher Meyers. Grandfather of Ashley Daneau and Cyerra Meyers. Brother of Dennis Meyers and the late John, Luann and Dale Meyers. Brother in law of Vicki (Bubby) Pawlak, Kim (Scott) Dimon, Cathy (Rhonda) Keller, Donna (Jeff) Tate, Karen (Dennis) Claycomb. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wilson Conservation Club on Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 2-5 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094 or the Wilson Conservation Club 2934 Wilson Cambria Rd. Wilson, NY 14172.
