    Alma L. Meiklejohn passed away February 1, 2023 in Elderwood at Lockport.  Born September 13, 1922 in Hartland, NY she was the daughter of Alfred and Hazel Alvord.  Alma enjoyed reading, playing cards, and bowling.  She was predeceased by her husband, James Meiklejohn in 2000 and daughter Patricia (late Gary) Few in 2022.
    Alma is survived by her daughter Darlene (Paul) Seib; grandchildren Kevin (Cindy) Few, James (Renee) Few, Melissa (Jean-Claude) Bernaer, and Kimberly (Michael) Pilarsky; great grandchildren Brittany, Brandon, Megan, and Kyle (Kailey) Few, Jenna Bernaer, and Jordan and McKenzie Pilarsky; great-great grandchildren Shay Few and Kenzly Few; also several nieces and nephews.  Besides her husband and daughter she was also predeceased by her siblings, Edward “Bud” Alvord, Marion Bartholomew, Delores Serusa, and Norma Balon.
    Relatives and friends may call Saturday, February 4th from 11 AM – 1 PM with services following at 1 PM all in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.  Memorial donations to Christ Episcopal Church, 7145 Fieldcrest Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.

    Edward R. "Bud" Alvord. passed away April 1, 2005, in Lockport. Born April 26,1926 in Hartland, NY, he was the son of Alfred and Hazel Penwright Alvord. "Bud retired from Harrison Radiator in 1985 after 35 years in production. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, tending his garden, stamp collecting and spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his wife Gladys Mary Bush Alvord March 20, 2003. He is survived by his children; Edward R. (Sandy) Alvord, Jr., Mark A. (Anita) Alvord, Victoria J. (Wiley) Tothill, Cynthia A. (John) Licata, all of Lockport and Deborah. (Terry) Farr of Fayetteville, NC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, one great grandchild; three sisters, Irene Serosa, Alma Mieklejohn and Marion Bartholomew, all of Lockport; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials to the American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Pkwy. West Amherst, NY 14228 would be appreciated by the family.

    Irene D. Serusa passed away August 2, 2018 in Harris Hill Nursing Facility.  Born August 6, 1930 in Lockport she was the daughter of Alfred and Hazel (Penwright) Alvord.  Irene enjoyed life, music, dogs, cats, butterflies, being around people, reminiscing the good old days, and especially being with her family.  She was predeceased by her husband Carl F. Serusa on December 12, 1995.
    Irene is survived by her children Leonard Serusa, Carla (Thomas) Hart, and Renee (Jonas) Diaz; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; siblings Alma Meiklejohn, Marion Bartholomew, and late Norma Balon and Edward Alvord, Sr.; also several nieces, nephews, and best friend Nero the puppy.
