    Gertrude A. (Focazio) Fitzpatrick, a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, passed away of Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.  She was 96.  She was born in this city on May 17, 1922, the daughter of the late John and Magdalen (Sporer) Focazio.  As a young lady, she was an avid bowler at her father’s business, Focazio Ideal Lanes. 
    A member of St. John de LaSalle RC Church, Gertrude was full of life, always happy and smiling.  She loved traveling the world and dancing, especially to her favorite, Frank Sinatra.  She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister.  She will be deeply missed. 
    She was employed by M&T Bank as a Secretary and for the Niagara County Department of Social Services. 
    She was predeceased by her husband, John Fitzpatrick  in 1987;  a daughter, Denise Fitzpatrick and siblings, Paula Shivery, Joan Palmeri, Virginia Forster and Delores Freeman. 
    Survivors include eight children, Daniel Fitzpatrick, Joan Denton, Maureen Fitzpatrick, Kathleen Fitzpatrick; Eileen Burkett; Trudy Trainor and Joseph Fitzpatrick; ten grandchildren, Brian and David Fitzpatrick ; Salam Melewski; Morgan and Stephen Denton; Troy and Hunter Burkett; Dylan and Ashley Trainor  and  Jack Fitzpatrick; three great grandchildren, Blake and Kale Melewsi ; Taren Fitzpatrick and several nieces and nephews. 
    Family present Sunday from 3-6 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where prayers will be said Monday 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John de LaSalle RC Church.  The interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.

    NIAGARA FALLS — Dolores I. (Focazio) Freeman, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at her residence, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Magdalen (Sporer) Focazio. Dolores was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools.

    Dolores is survived by her six children, John J. Freeman of the Town of Porter, NY, James A. Freeman of Youngstown, NY, Diane M. (Peter) Stinis, Jr., Bruce J. Freeman, both of Niagara Falls, NY, Donna D. (Patrick) Longo of Melbourne, FL and Roger J. (Michele) Freeman of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by one son, Douglas Freeman, Sr.; also survived by seven grandchildren, Marc, Jordan, Sara and Jenna Stinis, Douglas Freeman, Jr., Brenna and Bria Freeman; one great-granddaughter, Sofia Stinis; one sister, Gertrude Fitzpatrick of Niagara Falls, NY; her cousin, Lois Kumm; her dear friends, Anne Despres and Norma Dick; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by three sisters, Paula Shivery, Joan Palmeri and Virginia Forster.

    In honor of Dolores's wishes, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 4th at 10 AM in St. Peter's Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY, with Rev. Michael Zuffoletto officiating. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, 1023 Swann Road, Lewiston, NY 14092. Arrangements by M.J.     Daniel John Fitzpatrick, 72, passed from this life on August 31, 2020.  Born on April 21, 1948 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late John Francis and Gertrude (Focazio) Fitzpatrick.

     
    Danny, as he was known, attended local schools and graduated from the former Bishop Duffy High School. He earned his Bachelors Degree from SUNY Cortland and then went on working for Orkin Pest Control in Texas as a District Manager.  Following his retirement, he settled on the Island of Isla Mujeres in Mexico and recently came back to Niagara Falls upon his illness to be with his family.

     
    Danny is survived by children, Brian Fitzpatrick and David Fitzpatrick; 1 granddaughter; siblings, Joan Denton, Maureen Fitzpatrick, Kathleen Fitzpatrick, Michael Fitzpatrick, Eileen Burkett, Trudy Trainor and Joseph (Debbie Rosen) Fitzpatrick and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Denise Fitzpatrick.

    Danny’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. John de LaSalle Church, with Rev. Slavomir Siok, SAC serving as celebrant. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  Family and friends invited. As you prepare to attend, please keep in mind face coverings, social distancing and occupancy regulations. Arrangements are under the care of Michael R. Goodlander, OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME.

    Joseph "Joe" Anthony Fitzpatrick, 59, born on July 3, 1962, passed away at home in Mesa, AZ, on May 30, 2022. Joe was born in Niagara Falls, NY, and had originally traveled to Arizona for college. He loved the warm weather and lifestyle in the desert so much that he relocated there.
    Joe went to La Salle High School, and several colleges. He earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Rutgers University in NJ.
    Joe was born into a large Irish/Italian family and was the baby of nine. He was predeceased by his father, John; and his mother, Gertrude (Focazio); his brother, Danny; and sister, Denise. He is survived by his sisters, Joan, Maureen, Kathie, Eileen, and Trudy; his brother, Michael; his nieces, Salem, Morgan, Ashley, and Hunter; and nephews, Brian, David, Stephen, Dylan, and Troy; as well as many cousins and friends. He will be missed every day by his life companion, Debbie; and his son, Jack Anthony of Mesa, AZ. Joe will live forever in each and every one of us.
    What we will remember most about Joe (or "Joey" or "Fitz") is his quick wit. Joe could make anyone laugh, even strangers in line at the grocery store with his one-liners. He loved all sports, and of course his team the Buffalo Bills. There are so many fond memories for all who knew him which will always put smiles on our faces and warm our hearts.
    A service will be held for Joe on Monday, July 11th, 2022, at 11 AM at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E Main St., Mesa, Arizona 85207. A memorial will be held in Niagara Falls, NY, at a later date. Joey will be laid to rest with his family at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
