Friends received on Friday Nov. 4, 2016 from 4-8 P.M. at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., N. Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd. Interment at Mt. Olivet will follow. The family requests that memorials be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc.

Frank retired from International Paper after 44 years where he was a Welding Foreman.

COLUMBUS, OH — Joseph J. Anastasi, 95, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at his home in Columbus, OH. Born on September 13, 1917 in North Tonawanda, NY, he was the son of the late Dominic and Angeline Anastasi.

Joseph graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1935 and played semi-pro football in the Buffalo area, before serving in the United States Marine Corps in the Pacific during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, he worked with his beloved brother, Louie and many of his brothers and nephews for over 40 years in their family owned house painting company in North Tonawanda, NY, which he dearly loved. Abraham Lincoln once said, "A person is about as happy as he wants to be," and Joe was one of the happiest people we've ever known. With an always sunny disposition and positive attitude, he brought joy and happiness to everyone he touched. He was greatly loved by his family, friends and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Dellisante Anastasi and second wife, Leatrice Cirrito Anastasi. He is survived by his sons, Joseph (Linda) Anastasi of Columbus, OH; and Richard (Carole) Anastasi of Kirkland, WA; his daughter, Patricia (late Mark) Blair of Binghamton, NY; six grandchildren, Sarah (Ian) Fisher, Christina (Tom) Sauer, Richard Jay Anastasi, Mary Lucy Anastasi, Joseph Anthony Anastasi and Olivia Marie Anastasi; a brother, Frank (Pauline) Anastasi of North Tonawanda; three sisters, Carmelita (Leon) Bourdage of North Tonawanda, NY; Lucille (Frank) Habuda of Atlanta, GA; and Rose Belczak of Buffalo, NY; brothers-in-law, Frank (Jenny) Darlak of North Tonawanda; and Philip Dellisante of Elmira, NY; sisters-in-law, Josephine Cirrito of Niagara Falls, NY; Lena (Nick) Cacchio and Marie Russell; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was also predeceased by three brothers, Louis Anastasi, Anthony Anastasi and Theodore Anastasi; and three sisters, Eleanor Schebell, Jenny Darlock and Mary Sekera.

Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Niagara Falls, NY. Rose L. (nee Anastasi) Belczak of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal life Thursday, August 28, 2014. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, Rose was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Wife of the late Casimir A. "Casey" Belczak. Dearest mother of William Belczak of North Tonawanda and Paul (Sara) Belczak of Hawaii. Proud and loving grandmother of Cari-Anne (Brett) Ryan. Dear sister of Frank Anastasi, Lucille (Frank) Habuda, Carmelita (Leon) Bourdage and predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Age 80 of North Tonawanda, March 26, 2022 in Ft. Meyers, Florida, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. Husband of 59 years to Judith (nee Weissenburg) Anastasi; father of Michele (E. Scott) Ward, Kevin Anastasi and the late Deborah and Jeffrey Anastasi; grandfather of Amanda (Andrew) Mye, Samantha (Adam) Roberts, Ashley and Thomas Ward, Maria, Christopher and Carmen Anastasi; and great-grandfather of Anastasia Roberts; son of the late Louis and Fern Anastasi; brother of Louise (Sterling) Nowka, David (Katherine) and Daniel Anastasi, Wende (John) Kennis and the late George (living spouse Roma) Anastasi; and brother- in-law of James and Mary Weissenburg; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom was a 1959 graduate of North Tonawanda High School and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He had been employed as Vice President of Border Operations at FedEx, retiring in 2006. Tom was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending Summers in Long Beach, Canada. His true passion was spending time with his family. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 1st, from 4-8 PM, at JOHN O. William C. Belczak (b. 06/27/1952), loving son of Casimir A. Belczak and Rose L. Belczak and caring older brother to Colonel Paul D. Belczak (USA, Retired) passed away in his sleep on June 3, 2023. William was a longtime resident of North Tonawanda having lived his entire life in the city he adored. William’s educational background included graduating from North Tonawanda High School and later from Niagara University with a Bachelor Degree in Political Science. William was dedicated to the welfare of his family. Besides the professional demands of managing his stock portfolio, William always found the time to provide exceptional elder care to both of his parents. He was instrumental in launching Paul’s successful military career as an officer in the U.S. Army and his confidence never wavered in believing his brother would succeed as a senior military officer. William was a life long supporter of the Buffalo Bills who he adamantly followed every game day. William will be greatly missed by both family and friends.
