    LOCKPORT, Aug. 11-Samuel
    T. Argue, 89, of 342 South street
    who for 38 years was a member of
    the Hides and Tallow firm of Argue
    and Wilde at 7-9 Ray street died
    yesterday at his home, 342 South
    street, after an illness of four
    months.
    Born April 7, 1864 in Kitchener,
    Ont., Mr. Argue came to this city
    as a young man and was first employed
    at McKim foundry. He then
    worked for Louis Vedt in the Hides
    and Tallow store which he later
    purchased under the firm name of
    Argue and Wilde.
    Mr. Argue formerly served as
    a deputy under Sheriffs James A.
    Campbell and Ralph Irish both of
    Niagara Falls. He was a member
    ol Unity lodge, 90, IOOF, a past
    grand marshal and past district
    deputy of Niagara county. He also
    served as chief patriarch of Niagara
    Union encampment, captain of Canton,
    Niagara, No. 7, and was a
    member of the major general staff
    of the state of New York, Patriarch
    Militant. He attended Plymouth
    Congregational church.
    Surviving are his wife Lillian
    Argue, a daughter, Mrs. Edward
    Benedict. Rocky River, O., a son,
    Willard Pencille, Lockport; two
    sisters. Mrs. Charles Finley, Mrs.
    Thomas Wiles, both of Lockport.
    Services will be held Thursday
    at 2 o'clock at the Prudden funeral
    home. 242 Genesee street. Burial
    will be in Glenwood cemetery.

    LOCKPORT, Oct. 25.-Alexander
    Argue, 66, a resident of Lockport for
    the past 44 years, died suddenly yesterday
    of heart disease while walking
    in the village of Burt. He was a
    blacksmith by trade and was employed
    by the Slmonds Saw and
    Steel comuany for 21 years. He was a
    member of the I. O. O. F. lodge.
    Three sisters and two brothers survive.
    Funeral service will be held
    Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock
    from the home of a sister. Mrs.
    Charles Finley. 391 Hawky street. Interment
    will be in Glcnwood cem-
    etery.

    for Frederick Argue, 62 years old,
    16 Waterman street, this city, who
    died Monday night in Millard Fillmore
    hospital, Buffalo, will be held
    tomorrow at. 2 p. m. from the Prudden
    Funeral parlor, 242 Genesee
    street. Interment will be In Glenwood
    cemetery.
    Mr. Argue was born in Camidu
    but spent most of his life In Lockport.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Mrs. Louise Bowers Argue; three
    sons, Dr. John F. Argue, Wilson;
    Harold S. Argue. Naperville. Ill,
    and Elton V. Argue. Lockport; two
    sisters. Mrs. Charles Finley and
    Mrs. Thomas Wyles. and a brother,
    Samuel T. Argue, all of Lockport.

    Frederick married BOWERS, Louise R about 1900. Louise (daughter of BOWERS, John and Elizabeth) was born on 14 Mar 1881 in New York; died in Jun 1975 in Town of Wilson, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
