Iach, 61, of 4086 Beach Ridge
Road, Town of Pendleton, died
Saturday (Feb. 29, 1964) in Ros-
well Park Memorial Institute.
He was born in Lockport and
had lived in the Town of Pen-
dleton for 25 years. He was a
self-employed Hoisting engineer
and a member of Local 17,
Operating Engineers. He is sur-
vived by his wife, Ruth Loveland
Gerlach; two sons, Harry J.
and Lewis M. of Pendleton; two
daughters, Mrs. Donald F. Arnts
in Japan and Anita J. of Pen-
dleton; two brothers, Albert of
Lockport and Ben of Fort Lau-
derdale, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs.
Josephine Linck of Lockport and
Mrs. Jennie Heim of East Am-
herst and two grandchildren.

Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St.,
North Tonawanda, where the
family will be in attendance
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be
Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., the
Rev. Lynn S. Bugbee officiat-

GERLACH - Harry Joseph Of the Town of Wheatfield, age 76, died peacefully in the comfort of Niagara Hospice House on September 15, 2013, surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. He was the son of the late Harry and Ruth (Loveland) Gerlach; husband of Judith (Trinkwalder) Gerlach; father of James (Mary Kay), Peter (Danielle Sawyer), Christopher (Crisanne Conley), Julianne (Brian) Taylor, Susan (Joseph) Cunningham; Papa to Joey and Colin Gerlach, Megan and Bailey Cunningham, Camryn Taylor and Harry Gerlach; brother of Dolly Contrino, Anita Patrick and the late Barney Gerlach. Harry was a 1954 graduate of North Tonawanda High School, attended Alfred University, was a longtime employee of H.F. Darling Inc, and was a member of IUOE Local #17 for over 50 years. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, tractors, the Bills and Sabres, his family and friends and his little dog Chuckie. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the WATTENGEL FUNERAL HOME, 307 Oliver St., N. Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 AM. Interment Bear Ridge Cemetery. Anita J. Patrick, 69, of Marine City passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 with family by her side. She was born July 1, 1946 in Lockport, New York to the late Harry & Ruth Gerlach. Anita was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed the simple things in life: gardening, canning, baking and the occasional garage sale. Her family remembers what a calm outlook she had as she battled cancer and her strength was an inspiration to anyone she knew.

She is survived by her two loving sons, Allen Moeller of Port Huron and Daniel (Sierra) Moeller of East China; her beloved grandson, Calvin Moeller; a sister, Mary "Dolly" Contrino of New York and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Patrick in March 2006 and two brothers, Harry "Joke" Gerlach and Lewis "Barney" Gerlach.

Services will be conducted at
2 p.m. Tuesday in the Fretthold
Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St.,
North Tonawanda, for Karen
M. Arnts, 15, a Niagara-
Wheatfield High School sophomore,
who was killed Friday
night in a two-car collision at
Nash Road and Niagara Falls
Boulevard, about a mile and a
half from her home.
Karen was a passenger in a
car driven by Robert A.
Fleischman, 18, of 7115 Ward
Road, Wheatfield, when their
car was struck broadside when
it allegedly failed to stop for a
red light on Nash Road as it
crossed the boulevard.
A family spokesperson said
Karen had accompanied
Fleischman to the Stop N Go
market at Ruie and Nash Road
to pick up soft drinks and beer
for a group of friends reportedly
working on a car near
his home.
Karen was pronounced dead
on arrival at DeGraff Memorial
Hospital and Fleischman, a
Nlagara^Wheatfield senior, was
treated for chest injuries and
released today, hospital
authorities said.
According to the Niagara
County Sheriff's Department,
investigation into the accident
was continuing today. On Friday
night, deputies said
Fleischman would be charged
with driving while intoxicated
and failing to heed a red signal
light.
Her mother and grandmother
learned of the tragedy while
attending a play at the Errick
Road Elementary School, after
enoying a family dinner to
welcome home her brother
Airman Donald F. Arnts Jr., on
leave from the Air Force in
Bitburg, Germany.
Five persons in the car which
struck the Fleischman vehicle
were all treated and released
from DeGraff. They were Louis
J. Amanti, 32, of 59 Fairgreen,
Drive Amherst; his wife.
Rosemary, 34; their children,
Joseph, 12, and Denis, 11, and a
friend, Michael Jarmuz, 16.
Karen is survived by her
mother, Mary Ruth Arnts of
Wheatfield, and her father,
Donald F. Arnts Sr, of
Springfield, Va.; two brothers,
Donald of Germany, and David
F. Arnts, at home; a sister,
Brenda J. Arnts, at home; her
maternal grandmother, Mrs.
Ruth Gerlach of Wheatfield and
her paternal grandfather Fred
D. Arnts of North Tonawanda.
A lifelong Wheatfield resident,
Karen was a member of
the French Club at the high
school.
Her family has said memorials
may be made to the
Niagara County SPCA or the
Niagara-Wheatfield Student
Council.
The Rev. Frank Wright of
North Presbyterian Church will
officiate at funeral services.
Burial will be in Acacia
Park Cemetery.
