son.
Mrs. Krizan was born June 9,
1919, in Cleveland, Ohio, a
daughter of Eugene and Edith
(Kinter) Krieger.
She formerly worked at Moore
Business Forms and at Bell Aircraft
during World War II. She
and her husband formerly
owned the Dairy Oueen on Military
Road for 15 years.
She and her husband traveled
all over the world. She enjoyed
wintering in Arizona with
her daughter. She was a member
of the Boots and Saddle
Bridle Club in her younger days.
She enjoyed sewing, crafts and
baking. She was a member of
the Married Grandmothers Card
Club.
She and her husband, the late
Ferdinand "Fred" Krizan, were
married 63 years. He died in
1998.
She is survived by a son, Fred
E. (Denise) Krizan of Fillmore;
three daughters, Anne (Jose)
Garcia of Ransomville, Jeanne
(Edward) Powiek of Cape May,
N.J., and Bonnie (Jeffery) King
of Tucson, Ariz.; four brothers,
William Krieger of Orchard Park,
Fritz Krieger of Ruidosa, N.M.,
Howard Krieger of Youngstown,
and Paul Krieger of Houston,
Texas; three sisters, Edith Bloom
of Nokomis, Fla., Dorothy
Hughes of Ransonwille, and
Jeannette Bailey of Niagara
Falls; six grandchildren; seven
great- grandchildren; and many
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband,
she was predeceased by four
brothers, Eugene, Kenneth, Robert
and Harry Krieger; and two
s i s t e r s , Glenora Lewis and
VirginiaStakow.
The family received friends
Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to
9 p.m. at the Lane Funeral Home
Inc., 8622 Buffalo Ave., where
funeral services was held Monday
(March 17, 2003) at 11 a.m.
with t h e Rev. Daven Oskvig officiating.
Burial was in N.F. Memorial
Park Cemetery, Lewiston.

Bonnie Clara King passed away peacefully on July 8, 2020, in Tucson, AZ. Bonnie was born in Niagara Falls, NY, to Fred and Clara Krizan on April 6, 1945.
Bonnie married the love of her life, Jeffery in 1966 after he returned from the Vietnam War and moved to Arizona in 1969. She graduated from LaSalle Sr. High, obtained a degree in food administration, became a trained dog groomer, was a trainer with National Semi-Conductor in Tucson, and was a successful retail distributor. Bonnie and her husband were members of American Legion Post #131.
Bonnie is predeceased by Jeffery, her husband of 46 years; her parents; and sister, Anne; and brother-in-law, Jose. Bonnie is survived by her brother, Fred, Jr. (Denise), Franklinville, NY; sister, Jeanne (Edward) Powick, Cape May, NJ; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shelley and Rich King of Tucson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and dear friends (especially Donna) in Arizona and New York.

Powick, Jeanne Carole, - 81, of Cape May Court House, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2023, at Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cape May Courthouse, NJ. Jeanne was the third child of Fred and Clara Krizan and entered the world on August 24, 1941 in Niagara Falls, NY. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1959 and went on to study education at the State College of New York at Fredonia where she graduated with a bachelor's degree. She married Vincent James D'Amelio Jr. in 1963 and moved to King of Prussia, PA in 1964. There she taught elementary education at the Upper Merion School District. Later they moved to Freehold, New Jersey in 1969. During their time at Freehold, Jeanne had her two sons Vincent James and Marc Fredrick. In 1975, they moved to Belle Mead, NJ. Jeanne graduated in 1981 with a Master's of Business Administration from Rutgers. She then went into a successful business career working for AT&T. She stayed with the company as a Business Analyst and Senior Manager until 1998. Throughout her career, she traveled all over the world implementing advanced business programs and joint ventures for the company. Jeanne and Vincent would later separate and remain friends for the rest of her life. In 1992, Jeanne would remarry to Edward Henry Powick. They lived in Northern Virginia and finally retired to Cape May, New Jersey in 1998. Jeanne felt strongly about the ties of family and friendship and surrounded herself with them in their home. She was active at Cape May Lutheran Church serving on the church council, member of the Federation of Democratic Women of Cape May County, and the Democratic Party of New Jersey (and even ran for city council in Cape May). She loved the beach, cooking, traveling, and photography. She also was a self-taught painter and created many masterpieces featuring scenes of Cape May, the beach, and flowers. These are wonderful reminders of her lasting legacy for all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Edward Powick of 30 years of North Cape May, her two sons, Vincent D'Amelio (Victoria) of Newark CA, Marc D'Amelio (Marcia) of Windermere, FL; two step-children, Steve Powick of Flemington NJ, Kim Hammond (Paul) of Highland Park, NJ; her brother Ferdinand Krizan Jr (Denise) of Franklinville, NY; two grandchildren, Angela and Vincent D'Amelio; six step-grandchildren William, Maggie and James Powick, and Matea, Ian, and Johanna Hammond. Scott B. Hughes, 71, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 11, 1952 he was the son of the late Francis B. and Dorothy J. (Krieger) Hughes.


Scott graduated from Lew-Port High School in 1971 and was drafted into the United States Airforce on August 31, 1972. He served his country for 4 years and was honorable discharged on August 30, 1976 as a SGT.


He was a certified rescue scuba diver and an avid boater on the local waterways. Scott was also a wood worker. He built the cabinets, accents, and full tables in his own home. He Also made many Christmas gifts for his nieces and nephews in his personal "Santa Work Shop." In addition, Scott loved cars, especially his 1970 Cadillac Convertible.


Scott enjoyed working jobs that involved working with people. He always greeted everyone with a friendly smile and could never say No to anyone who was in need.


He is survived by his wife, Susan R. (Kochanski) Hughes, whom he married November 11, 1985; siblings, Kathy J. (Mark) Oliphant and Kent B. (Sandy) Hughes; five nieces and nephews; one great-nephew and one great-niece. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.


Friends may call Sunday, June 23rd from 3-5 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 24th with Rev. Eric H. Kreiger, of Youngstown, passed away on September 14, 2022 at home.  He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on September 18, 1965, a son of Robert and Nancy (McKeown) Kreiger. 
Eric was employed by J.W. Danforth Company as a pipefitter for many years.  He loved life, was free spirited and enjoyed entertaining friends and family at his home.  His friends were extended to him and were dearly loved. 
In addition to his many friends, he is survived by his loving sister, Traci Kreiger and her three children and families: very loved by Karen Pascoe and several cousins.

Joe passed away peacefully of natural causes at Erie County Medical Center on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Joe was born on September 26th, 1966 in Las Vegas, NV. Joe was 54 years old.
Joe was born in Las Vegas and grew up in Niagara Falls. He moved to Las Vegas from 1998-2003. He graduated from Trott Vocational High School as a welder and became a Millwright Supervisor at Titanium Metals Corporation (TIMET) in Las Vegas before it closed, he then moved back to Niagara Falls.
Joe loved the outdoors, spending time with his friends and his pastimes were hiking and exploring the Niagara Gorge, camping, shooting, cookouts, listening to classic rock, enjoying action movies, and a great steak dinner. Everyone that knew Joe knew of his captivating energetic smile and hypnotic warm personality along with his witty sarcastic demeanor and unique laugh... Joe will always be remembered and dearly missed, but never forgotten. If one is remembered - they are never gone.
He is survived by his mother, Albie Bailey; and brother, Michael Nest of Las Vegas, NV; step-father, David C. Bailey (of recent passing); grandmother, Jeanette Bailey of Niagara Falls, NY; aunts and uncles, Glenda Nest of Niagara Falls, NY, Beverly Nest of Niagara Falls, NY, Leslie and Carol Bailey, Jr. of North Tonawanda, NY, Timothy and Ann Marie Bailey of Niagara Falls, NY, William and Anna Marie (Villani) Petroziello of Niagara Falls, NY, Vera J.
