A WIDELY known Niagara Falls
Falls resident was dead at his
home 25 years ago -today in the
person of Sidney C. Bailey, of 911
Niagara avenue, who had died the
previous evening at the age of 57.
He had come here as-a young man
from Canandaigua. N. Y.. and was
employed as . a miller before be-
coming a watchman on the Michi-
gan Central bridge spanning the
eorge. which post he held at the
time of his death. He was survived
by a son. William Henry. and a
daughter. Florence May.

Frederick Bailey, son of Frank Bailey,
died at his residence on Willow street about
noon yesterday of inflammation of the bowels.
He was 25 years old and leaves a wife.

William H. Bailey, 763 Eighth
street, former Niagara Falls police
officer, who suffered the amputation
of both his legs while In the
service of the department, died this
morning at 10:45 o'clock in Mt. St.
Mary's hospital. He had been a
patient in the hospital since Goqd
Friday. He had been on pension
from the police department for the
last 10 years.
Mr. Bailey was the son of the
late Sidney Bailey and Mrs. Khoda
Bailey. He had lived in Niagara
Falls practically all of his life and
was 53 years old at the time of his
death. Appointed to the police department
22 years ago, Mr. Bailey
served first as a patrolman and
then as a member of the motorcycle
squad. While riding a motorcycle
he was injured and he attributed
the loss of the first leg amputated
to those Injuries. Returning to
duty, he served for some time as :
desk patrolman at the La Salle
police station. During that period
he became ill and his second leg
was amputated.
Surviving Mr. Bailey are his wife,
Mrs. Sadies Bailey; two daughters.
Miss Rhoda Bailey and Mrs. Barbara
Train, and his mother, all of
this city. Plans for the funeral
were being completed this afternoon.

Ninth St., has returned from
Sudbury, Ont., where funeral
services were held Tuesday
for her sister, Mrs. Barbara
Bailey Train, 42.
Mrs. Train died Feb. 11 of
injuries suffered in a headon
auto collision Feb. 7 in Sudbury.
The daughter of the late
William Bailey, a former Niagara
Falls policeman, Mrs.
Train lived in this city until
her marriage 22 years ago.
She was a resident of Capreol,
Ont., at the time of her death;
Surviving, besides her sister,
are her husband, Neil
Train and seven children.
Mr. Train was also severly
injured in the crash and is
stlil in a Sudbury hospital.
