    Duane "Sy" Seiler, age 72, of Gasport, entered into rest at his home on Saturday, November 7, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Born July 22, 1943 in Lockport he is the son of Fredrick and Erma (Baldwin) Seiler.

    Sy is a 1963 graduate of Royalton Hartland High School. He married Patricia Lee March 29, 1975 in Lockport. Sy worked as a shipping foreman for Niagara Specialty Metals in Akron, NY retiring in 2005. Previously he had worked for Simonds Steel for 20 years.

    As an avid hunter and member of the Hartland Conservation Club, Sy had gone on many hunting trips including Africa and Canada. Sy also enjoyed gardening. He had lived in the Royalton area all of his life

    Surviving is his wife, Patricia Seiler and children, Duane (Erica Zipp) Seiler of Gasport, Tammy (Greg) Lennon of Lockport, and Angela (Jim) Spark of Gasport; brother of Sharon Mack of Rochester. He was predeceased by his brothers, Frederick, Kenneth, Charles, Richard, David and Michael and a sister, Mary LaSpada; seven grandchildren also survive Sy; Luke and Evangeline Seiler, Cora and Meghan Lennon, Casey and Caleb Spark and Mark Zipp. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

    Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 3 - 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 11:00 am with the Reverend Rodney Klinzing officiating. Interment will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery, Gasport, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Niagara Hospice.
