Ross W. Holmes passed away October 11, 2023 peacefully while being surrounded by his girls.  Born May 12, 1951 in Amherst he was the son of Robert (Mary Ann) Holmes and Joan (Harold) Sink.  Ross was a machinist working for Diversified Manufacturing in Lockport for 50 years retiring in 2021.  Ross’s love for racing allowed him a 30 year career driving the Lazy 8 to popular victories throughout Western New York.  Ross later hung up his helmet to take on a new role as the most incredible “Pops” to his two grandsons. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara (Ball) Holmes on February 28, 2023.
Ross is survived by his three amazing daughters Michelle (Dean) Holmes-Anderson, Charyl (Eric) Williams, and Kay (John) Rahlf; two grandchildren EJ Williams and Grayson Rahlf who were the center of his world: brothers Clifford (Teri) Holmes, Michael (Tina) Holmes, and Christopher (Krista) Holmes; also several nieces and nephews.  Besides his wife he was also predeceased by his two sisters Jody Sossong and Bonnie Mack.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, Oct. 16th from 3-7 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 17th at 10 AM.  Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Wrights Corners Fire Hall.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the FOAR Score fan club in Ross’s name. Obituary of Bonnie L. Mack

Bonnie L. Mack passed away October 4, 2019 in Niagara Hospice House.  Born June 19, 1956 in Kenmore she was the daughter of Joan (Late Harold) Pernett Sink and late Robert Holmes.   She worked for Harrison Radiator for 30 years in production.  Bonnie enjoyed auto racing and working in her yard.  She was predeceased by her husband Daniel Mack on December 16, 2010.
Bonnie is survived by her son Matthew (Alissa) Holmes; step-children Jordan, Adam, and Amy; step-daughter of Mary Ann Holmes; grandsons Caleb and Tony Pagliei; siblings Ross (Barbara) Holmes, Clifford (Terri) Holmes, Michael (Tina) Holmes, Christopher Holmes, and late Jody Ann (late Bucky) Sossong; nieces Michelle (Jean) Anderson, Charyl (Eric) Williams, Kay (John) Rahlf, Renee Brady, Staci (Eric) Kenlin, Luonne Cyrus, Casandra Jackson, and Lauren Hayes; nephews  DJ Sossong and Bobby (Ryan) Holmes.

Jody Ann (Holmes) Sossong passed away, under the care of Niagara Hospice, on September 27, 2014. Born in Kenmore on October 30, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Joan (late Harold) Pernett Sink and the late Robert W. (Mary Ann of Daytona Beach) Holmes. Jody graduated from Lockport High School, Class of 1971, and from Beauty School. She worked as a beautician, did in-home child care and at Lancaster Speedway, where she started in the office and ended up doing a number jobs while there. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Kenan Quilters, F.O.A.R. Score, Westview Ridge Association, FL, Hooligans Car Club and St. John the Baptist Church. Jody enjoyed sewing, quilting, cross stitch, car cruises, car racing and her Florida home in Haines City, FL.

Beside her step-mother, Jody is survived by her husband, Donald Sossong of Lockport; mother of Renee (Shawn) Brady of Lockport and Donald (Suzie) Sossong of Punxsutawney, PA; grandmother of Devin and Maura Brady. Jody was the sister of Ross (Barb) Holmes, Bonnie Mack, Clifford (Terri) Holmes and Michael (Tina) Holmes, all of Lockport, and Christopher Holmes of Daytona Beach, FL. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call Tuesday, September 30, 2014, 2-4 and 6-9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 1, 2014, in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, at 10 AM. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
