The funeral of John A. Ball, the veteran
machinist and welt known fraternity
man. who died at his late residence.
No. 184 Pound street Friday night last,
was held Monday afternoon, with ser-
vices at Grace Episcopal church at 3
o'clock. Rev. H. F. Zwicker conducted
the regular Eplscopal burial service,
after which the Odd Fellows also held
services according to their ritual.
The bearers were Ira H. McCoy. R N.
Roberts, Richard White, George Haines,
George Vogt. and John M Smith. The
interment was at Glenwood cemetery

Kime were held Thursday after-
noon at the Crosby Funeral home.
Rev. Theodore Mayer of N. Tona-
wanda officiating. The bearers were,

John Miller. Interment was made at
Pekin cemetery.

Thomas L. Ball, life-long resident of
Lockport, died this morning at 3
o'clock, at his home No. 124 Saxton
street. A complication of diseases, from
which he had been suffering for some
time, caused his death. He was 52
years old. He leaves a wife. Mary T.
Ball, and two sons, Lawrence E at
home, and Rollin T., of No. 112 Grant
street, this city, besides two s i s t e r s and
one brother. Mrs. Charles Meyers of
Buffalo; Mrs. Everett Kime of Niagara
Fallss, and Rev. Robert H. Ball, of Fair
Haven, Vermont.
Mr. Ball was born in Lockport December
20. 1868, and has lived here all
his life. He was an expert candy maker,
and has been In the confectionery
and lce Cream business, conducting
stores in this clty and at Olcott
Beach. He was proprietor of the old
Castle Inn at Olcott, near the creek
bridge, and after that was destroyed by
fire, he build the New Castle Inn across
from the park. He was a member of
-Niagara Lodge, No. 375. F. & A. M.
The funeral services will be held on
Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Bap-
tist Church. Interment will be in Cold
.Springs cemetery.

NIAGARA FALLS-Burial In
Riverdale Cemetery today followed
last rites for. Ben M. Kime, 52,
native of Lockport and foreman
in the Niagara Falls Parks Department
for 15 years, who died Saturday
after a short illness. A resident
of the Power City most of
his life, Mr. Kime lived at 1963
Macklem Ave.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Mary Klme; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond
C. Newman both of Niagara
Falls; his father, Everett Kime,
Lockport; and a sister, Mrs,
Marlon Darby, Tampa, Fla.

Funeral services for Rollan
Thomas Ball, 66, were recently
held at Arlington Memorial Chap-
el in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Mr. Ball, a native of Lockport,
was a retired tool estimator for
the Harrison Radiator Division of
General Motors Corp. of Lockport.
His death occurred suddenly on
Sept. 7, 1961 at Mount Park Hos-
pital in St. Petersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie
B. Ball and brother, Lawrence
Ball of Lockport.

Virginia (Kime) Newman of Lewiston, passed from this life on November 29, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, where she had lived for the past several years due to a chronic illness. Virginia was a lifetime resident of the Niagara Falls area, having been born to Ben and May Kime on July 27, 1918 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital.

She attended local schools including Maple Avenue School, the former North Junior High School and Niagara Falls High School. She received a degree in Business Administration from Niagara University in 1941, being one of the first female graduates of that school. She later received a Masters Degree in Education from Buffalo State University. In 1941 Virginia married her high school sweetheart, Raymond C.. Newman, with whom she raised two sons. Raymond predeceased her in 2007, ending their 66 year old marriage. Virginia taught elementary education at the former Pacific Avenue School and 60th. Street School for 22 years. She then devoted much of her time to volunteer work at Mount St. Mary's Hospital for 20 years, and afterwards traveled with Ray, visiting and caring for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and caring for her dogs.

Survivors include her elder son, John C. Newman, M.D. of Lewiston, and younger son, Robert (Katherine) Newman of Hudson, OH; three grandchildren, Raymond (Margaret) Newman of Lancaster, PA, James (Susan) Newman of Hudson, OH and Colleen Newman of Brecksville, OH; four great-grandchildren, Edwin and Charles Newman of Lancaster, and Julia and Jacob Newman of Hudson; and a close friend, Colleen A. O'Leary of Lewiston. Family extends a special thanks to the staff of Our Lady of Peace, for the care she was given during her stay.

Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Friday (Dec.11) from 4-7 p.m. A private interment with the family will take place at Riverdale Cemetery on December 12. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, 5285 Lewiston Road, Lewiston, NY 14092, or Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
