Pardo Bax, 71, of 2172 Jerauld
avenue, a veteran railroad man of
the New York Central system here,
died last night at Mt. St. Mary's
hospital after a short illness.
Born in Italy, Mr. Bax came to
Niagara Falls 44 years ago and was
employed by the New York Central
40 years prior to his retirement as a
section foreman, a few years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Rose;
two sons, Joseph P. and Anthony P.
Bax, this city; three daughters, Myr-
tle M. Max and Mrs. Louis Cirrito,
this city, and Mrs. Frank Anness,
Cincinnati, O.; three brothers, leo
Alfred J., and Romeo Bax, and a sis-
ter, Mrs. Frank Ieracitano, all of this
city. Four grandchildren also sur-
vive.
Funeral services will be held at the
Jerauld avenue home at 8:30 a.m.
Monday and at 9:15 a.m. at Sacred
Heart church. Burial will be in Gate
of Heaven cemetery.

Central railroad foreman, died late
yesterday in Mt. St. Mary's hospital
after a brief illness.
A native of Italy, Mr. Bax resided
in this city for 51 years. He was a
general foreman for the New York
Central railroad in charge of track
layout from this city to Rochester.
He retired several years ago.
He was a member of the Loyal
Order of Moose, the New York Cen-
tral Veterans' association, the 50-
year Honor Roll club of the New
York Central and past president of
the Maintenance of Way Railroad
Maintenance union.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Er-
nestine Bax, and 11 children, Mrs.
Constantino Lombardi, Mrs. Earl
Mang, Anthony, Louis, Frank and
Felix, all of this city; Mrs. Joseph
Camper, North Tonawanda; Mrs.
James Gough, Youngstown; Ralph
and James Bax, both of Lewiston ;
and Mrs. Ronald Raden, Detroit,

NIAGARA FALLS —
Alice (Bax) Rice, 96, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Elderwood Health Care Center at Riverwood in Grand Island, NY. Born and educated in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alfredo and Carmella (DiSalvo) Bax.
On September 1, 1941, Alice married Charles E. Rice in Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls. Alice began working at Como Restaurant and later worked as a sales clerk at Biers Department Store on Falls Street, and later at the Rainbow Mall, all in Niagara Falls, NY. Alice will be remembered for her fabulous cooking skills, especially baking cookies for many of her family's weddings. She also enjoyed bowling, crocheting and working in her garden. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and sharing in their special moments. When her children were young, she was also active in the Mothers Club at Sacred Heart School and later on Bishop Duffy and Madonna High Schools in Niagara Falls.
Alice was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Rice on January 24, 1976. She is survived by her three children, Dr. Charles D. (Deborah) Rice of Grand Island, NY, Lorraine D. (Lee) Keener of Ojai, CA, and Ronald R. (Sue) R www.mjcioluccifuneralchapel.com ice of Lewiston, NY; five grandchildren, Alexis Marie, Tara (Matt) May, Charles F. Rice, Elizabeth Rice, and Christopher Rice; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Dylan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also predeceased her five siblings, Joseph (late Fran) Bax, Dr. Alphonso L. Olive A. ‘Ollie’ (Bax) Lorenti, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Lena (DiSalvo) Bax.

Ollie was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. On September 18, 1946 she married Emil Lorenti in Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by him on July 26, 1995. Ollie was a waitress at the former Wilmar Coffee Shop in Niagara Falls where she was affectionately known as the best motherly waitress in town. Ollie was a real people person who got along with everyone she met. She was also an excellent pie maker and especially loved children and animals but most of all Ollie was devoted to her family.

Ollie is survived by her son Michael R. (Rose) Lorenti of Lewiston, NY; three grandchildren Michael Lorenti, Jr., Theresa Lorenti and Nicole (Roman Amezcua) Lorenti; one great grandson Elijah Richards and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters, Daniel (late Mary) Bax, Joseph (late Marion) Bax, Alphonse ‘Butch’ (Esther of Las Vegas, NV) Bax, Samuel ‘Chico’ (Naomi of Niagara Falls, NY) Bax, Lucy (late Joseph) Salacuse, Betty (late Edward) Belson and Celia (late Matthew) Kramarz.

Marie (Bax) Bradley, 63, passed away June 3, 2013, at her home in California. She was born on October 21, 1949 in Niagara Falls, NY. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Ruggiero) Bax. She attended Madonna High School and St. Mary's Nursing School. She was a registered nurse at Marina Del Ray Hospital, where she was the night supervisor.
Marie enjoyed photography and shopping, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Her daughter and her grandchildren were the loves of her life.
She is survived by her sister, Felicia (Bax) and Ron Neigut; a daughter, Sara (Reyes) and Tim Bowles; grandchildren, Kameron Reyes and Destiny Bowles; a nephew, Chad Marquette and his family; a niece, Susan Isgrig and her family; her "adopted family," The Morgan-MacKenzie family and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Romeo Bax.

Thomas E. Mang of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on  Sunday, April 10, 2022.  He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on November 8, 1946, a son of the late Earl B. and Esther S. [Bax] Mang.
Mr. Mang graduated from Niagara Falls High School and was a brakeman with Conrail for over 30 years before retiring.
He is survived by two brothers Anthony and Robert Mang, a sister Patricia Olivero, also many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Mang was the brother of the late Earl, Richard and Louis Mang.
Private services were held at the wishes of his family.

Richard "Ricky" M. Gall, 51 of Las Vegas, NV formerly of Lewiston, NY passed away on November 20, 2020. Born December 25, 1968 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the beloved son of Steve (Debbie) Gall and Linda (nee Welch) Blake.
Ricky graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School in 1987 and attended local colleges. He moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1997 and pursued his life passion for automobiles, owning and operating an automotive restoration and sales business. Ricky rediscovered his love for the sport of ice hockey, participating in several recreational leagues, as well as playing together in a co-ed league alongside his longtime loving girlfriend, Keri Feldman. Ricky loved his hometown Buffalo Sabres and was a Las Vegas Golden Knights season ticket holder. He was also a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, and every Sunday would text back and forth with his father during the games from his Vegas home.
One of Ricky's most memorable experiences was traveling with his mother to Sicily, where they were able to rediscover their family roots. He especially loved his trips back home to visit family and spend time with his nieces and nephews. Ricky also cherished his pet Cockatoo, George. Above all, Ricky was a loving and caring individual. He could always make you laugh, and his smiling face will be forever missed.

In addition to his parents and girlfriend, Ricky is survived by one brother, Randy (Nicole) Gall, one sister, Renee (Jim) Morgan, his nieces and nephews, Mackenzie and Reece Gall, Nathan and Nicholas Morgan, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He also worked at Midland Machinery and presently at Buffalo Pumps. He enjoyed family, fishing, hunting and the Beatles.
