    age 67, of North Tonawanda, Monday,
    (April 7, 1986) after a lengthy
    illness. Mr Rankin was a member
    of the Grand Island Masonic Lodge
    #1138 F&A.M. in the Scottish Rite of
    Buffalo.
    He is survived by his wife, Harriett
    (nee Becker) Rankin; two
    daughters, Mrs. Lee (Donna) Licht
    and Mrs. William (Carol) Mc-
    Granahan, both of North Tonawanda
    and a son, William (Lydia)
    Rankin of Lockport; also survived
    by five grandchildren; a brother,
    Louis (Gretchen) Rankin of Buffalo.
    Friends may call at the Fretthold
    Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St.
    at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda,
    Tuesday 7-9 and Wednesday 2-4 and
    7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be
    held at the funeral home, Thursday
    at 11 a.m. the Rev. Woodrow W.
    McCaleb will officiate. Interment in
    Acacia Park Cemeterv.

    William Rankin Obituary


    Of The Town of Cambria, passed away on Saturday, February 24, at his home under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice.  He was born in Buffalo, NY,  on October 15, 1946, the son of  Harriet (Becker) Rankin and the late Clyde Rankin.
    Mr. Rankin was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School and served with the US Army during the Vietnam War.
    He was a bio remediation engineer with Spaulding Fibre and Composites for over 30 years.
    Mr. Rankin was an avid sportsman and woodworker.
    He especially enjoyed his time spent at his log cabin in Belfast, NY and in the Thousand Islands.
    Mr. Rankin was the husband of 40 years to the late Lydia A. [Drake] Rankin, who passed away in February of 2010.
    In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons Tanner (Katherine) and John , a grandson John Rankin,  two sisters Donna (Lee) Licht and Carol Ann McGranahan, also  many nieces and nephews.
    His family will be present on Thursday from 4-7 PM at the  RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, with Military Honors to follow at 7:00 PM.
    Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Town of  Cambria.

Bryn was born Aug. 8, 1991, in Lockport, and Nicholas was born June 24, 1993, in Lockport, the sons of David L. and Melanie L. (Licht) Ziemendorf of Slusaric Road.
    Bryn was a first-grader at Starpoint Central School. Nicholas attended preschool classes at Holy Ghost Lutheran School. In addition to their parents, they are survived by a sister, Lindsay M. Ziemendorf; their grandparents, Lee and Donna Licht. of Wheatfield and Lloyd and Betty Jane Ziemendorf of Wheatfield; their great-grandparents, Harriet and Wallace Krull, LeGrand and Lanette Licht, all of North Tonawanda, and Dorothy Schoenthal of East Aurora; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn. The Rev. David F. Ellis will conduct services at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 64 Felton St., North Tonawanda. Burial will be in Wheatfield Cemetery.
    Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church or to a children's charity of one's choice.

    Services for Bryn David Ziemendorf, 6, and his brother, Nicholas Lee Ziemendorf, 4, both of Slusaric Road, will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 64 Felton St., North Tonawanda. Burial will be in Wheatfield Cemetery.
    The brothers died in McMaster Medical Centre, Hamilton, Ont., of injuries suffered in an automobile accident Sunday on the Queen Elizabeth Way near Grimsby, Ont.
