Anthony J. Caraglin, Ret. N.F.P.D. passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Elderwood Health Care at Crestwood in the Town of Wheatfield, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Giovanni and Giovanna (Soro) Caraglin.

Anthony was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. During World War II he served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1946 until his honorable discharge in 1948. He then served in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves. He was awarded a World War II Victory Medal and a Presidential Unit Citation. He began working at National Carbon in Niagara Falls as a truck driver from 1948 until being called back to active service during the Korean War from 1950 until September 13, 1951. Following his discharge from the Marines he continued working at National Carbon until he became a member of the Niagara Falls Police Department in 1956 until retiring in 1985.

Anthony was a lifetime member of the American Legion and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #247 in Niagara Falls. He enjoyed going to his cabin in the Southern Tier with his family and friends.

Anthony was predeceased by his wife Inez D. (D’Andrea) Caraglin who he married on April 15, 1950 at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. He is survived by one son Anthony J. Caraglin, Jr. and was predeceased by one son Robert (Colleen) Caraglin. He is also survived by three grandchildren Shannon (Bill) Fundis, Janelle (Jeff) Vicki and Christopher Caraglin; one great granddaughter Lillian Fundis, one sister-in-law Zania (late Paul) Schiro and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by one grandson Robert Caraglin, three sisters Bonita (late Stan) Kawara, Sr. Jean Patrice Caraglin and Mary (late Anthony) Tedesco, two brothers James (late Kay) Caraglin and Frank (Dorothy) Caraglin. He was the son-in-law of the late Angelo and Angela D’Andrea and brother-in-law of the late Joseph (late Esther) Taddie, Arnie (late Mary) D’Andrea, Lillian (late Mario) DeMarchi and Sylvia (late Joseph) Metro.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 1st at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul at St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Mary (Caraglin) Tedesco, 88, of Lewiston, NY, died on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Giovanna (Soro) Caraglin.
Mary was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. On December 13, 1943, she married Anthony V. Tedesco in Niagara Falls. Mr. Tedesco predeceased her on September 10, 1988. Mary began her career as a secretary working for Carborundum Co. in Niagara Falls and later for the president and vice president of Niagara University until retiring in 1994. In her leisure time, she enjoyed exercising and doing yard work.
Mary is survived by two sons, Anthony J. Tedesco of Kingston, GA and James F. (Lisa) Tedesco of Niagara Falls, NY; two granddaughters, Tia-Marie Tedesco and Nina Tedesco, both of Niagara Falls, NY; one brother, Anthony (late Inez) Caraglin of Niagara Falls, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers, Bonita (late Stanley) Kalwara, Frank (Dorothy of Niagara Falls, NY) Caraglin, Sr., Sister Jean Patrice Caraglin, O.S.F. and James V. Caraglin.

Robert Caraglin, 61, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed from this life on Monday, November 16, 2015. Born on April 2, 1954 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Anthony J. Caraglin, Sr., NFPD-Ret. of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Inez (D'Andrea) Caraglin. On May 15, 1976, Robert married the former Colleen O'Shea in Niagara Falls, NY.

Mr. Caraglin was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. Robert attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. He was employed as a laborer for Carbon Graphite in Niagara Falls. Robert was a well-respected baseball coach for the Cayuga Youth Athletic Association and an avid hockey and Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He loved spending time with his family at his cabin in the southern tier.

In addition to his wife of over thirty-nine years, Mr. Caraglin is survived by three children, Shannon (Bill) Fundis of Lewiston, NY, Janelle (Jeff) Vicki of the Town of Niagara, NY and Chris Caraglin of the Town of Niagara, NY and was predeceased by his beloved son, Robert Caraglin and two infant sons. Robert is also survived by one granddaughter, Lilly Fundis; one brother, Anthony J. Caraglin, Jr. of Grand Island, NY; a close cousin, Frankie Caraglin and family and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Life story

Cynthia (Caraglin) Willimott, passed on March 1st 2022 at age 67. She was surrounded by her family at Niagara Falls Memorial Center. Born on October 18, 1954 to Dorothy (Bisher) and the late Frank Caraglin, Sr. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School  in 1973. Cindy worked various jobs until retiring from Opportunities Unlimited after 20 years. 

Cindy lived her life to the fullest, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed being the life of any party. She loved to go camping, and to the beach, and spent a lot of time with her friends Lee and Rob Frost , Patty and “Kitkat”. She enjoyed their company and friendship very much. 

She is survived by her husband, Michael Willimott. Her three children, Jamie (Carlos) Skye,  Danielle (John) Davis and Christopher (Jakia) Skye.  Her grandchildren, Michael Skye,  JaNaiya A.K.A Shania, Gulley, Nesiah Gulley, Naim Gulley, Jr., Aveiona Gulley, 
Nazciona Gulley, Sirenity King, Stephon Bradberry, Jaylen Maye, Janelle Davis, Trinity Skye;great- grandchildren, Kay Kay, Fatman, Kamille, Ari, Pia, Jay Buggie, Darian Jr., Jordan, Kaiden and Akerra; brother-in-laws, Arvie, John, Jim, Rich, Daryl Christian, Frank Pacifico and sister-in-law, Donna Christian.  Predeceased by her great-grandson, Cameron Michael Skye and Stepson, Michael Willimott, Jr.  Cindy is also survived by her 8 siblings, Noreen (Norman) Maillet, Frank (Bambi) Caraglin, John Caraglin, Mark (Tammy) Caraglin, Loura (Flyod) Maines, Mary (Pat) Corsaro, Debbie (Vince) Ferlito, Jean (late Skip) Hachee. Cindy is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins and so many loving friends. Very special niece and nephew, Patrick Corsaro ( Cassie) and niece, Ashely Corsaro (Richie Roszel) and her beloved doggie  and her best friend, Minnie. 

While we mourn our loss, we celebrate her life well lived and cherish each and every memory. Cindy will be missed by many friends and family.

Life story

Christopher Caraglin, 36, of the Town of Niagara, passed away on January 24, 2020.  Born on October 6, 1983 in Lewiston, NY, he was the son of Colleen (O’Shea) Caraglin and the late Robert Caraglin.

Chris, as he was known, was a lifelong Town of Niagara resident, attended local schools  and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in 2002. He was currently employed for Thomason Concrete Construction as well as the Niagara Reporter.  Chris enjoyed spending time with his family at their cabin in the southern tier. 

In addition to his mother, Chris is survived by sisters, Shannon (Bill) Fundis and Janelle (fiancé Rick Haight) Vicki; longtime girlfriend, Alyssa DePetris; nieces, Lilly and Nora Fundis; uncle, Anthony Caraglin, Jr. and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two infant brothers and a brother, Robert Caraglin; paternal grandparents, Anthony and Inez Caraglin, Sr. (NFPD ret.) and maternal grandparents, John and Maryann O’Shea.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with family friend, Rev. Life Story

Christopher Thomas Skye, 39, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 7, 2023.  Born on April 1, 1984 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas Skye and the late Cynthia (nee Caraglin) Willimott.

Chris worked at Giovanni’s Auto Shop as a mechanic. He loved spending time with his family and friends and to barbecue.  Chris also enjoyed fishing and had a new fondness for bingo. He had a heart of gold and he will be greatly missed.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Trinity Ann Skye of Niagara Falls, NY; niece who was like a daughter to him, Nazciona Gulley of Niagara Falls, NY; sisters, Jamie (Carlos) Skye of Niagara Falls, NY and Danielle (John) Davis of Ft. Joseph Caraglin, 36, of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023. Born in Lewiston, NY, he is the loving son of Frank and Bambi (Martin) Caraglin.
Joe attended St. Peter’s School, as well as Lewiston-Porter High School. He was currently employed by the Griffon Brewery and Gastropub in Lewiston, and also worked as a landscaper for several years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed to play frisbee golf, attend concerts with his friends and spend time with his cats and dog. He was also a passionate fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Yankees. Above all, Joe cherished the time spent with his family and friends who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, Joseph is survived by his beloved siblings, Gina (Eric Leask) Caraglin, Franci (Tim) Ferchen, Frankie (Jess Kelley) Caraglin and Giovanna (Alan) Sherrill; his cherished nieces and nephews, Ormead, Malaya, Timmy, Luke and Sophia; his devoted friends, Ana Caraglin and Michael 'Dread' Armstrong, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
