Raymond S. "Sam" Barry III

BUFFALO — Raymond S. "Sam" Barry III, age 55, of Williamsville, NY and formerly of North Tonawanda, died, unexpectedly, Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Gates Vascular Institute. Born in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Dr. Raymond S. Jr. and Helen (Howell) Barry, he had been a resident of Williamsville for the past five years. Sam had been employed as a truck driver for YCR Trucking in Tonawanda for the past 25 years. He was a past member of the LaSalle Yacht Club. Sam enjoyed boating and was an avid lover of antique boats.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kathleen J. (nee Miller) Barry; two children, Timothy Barry and Jessica Barry, both of Williamsville, NY; two sisters, Jane Barry of North Tonawanda and Susan (Brian) Sheldrick of Kleinberg, ONT; a sister-in-law, Nancy Miller of Cheektowaga, NY; his cherished mother-in-law, Elizabeth Miller of Getzville, NY; a nephew, David Eron; and several very special cousins.

Family will be present on Friday from 3-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), City of Tonawanda, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 17, at 10 AM. Friends invited. Rev. Jeremy Lopez will officiate. Private burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Memorials may be made to The Hospice Foundation of WNY, 225 Como Park Blvd., PO Box 590, Buffalo, NY 14240.
