Ruth Lorraine Beiter, age 69, of Gasport, entered into rest on Monday, May 27, 2013 at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport. Born on July 12, 1943 in Lockport, Ruth is the daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy (Vohowsier) Weaver.
Ruth married Carl Beiter on July 11, 1968. They had been married for 46 years. She had worked at Gasport Welding as a secretary before retiring. Ruth loved spending time with her grandkids. She also enjoyed Bingo, playing cards and traveling with Carl to Florida and the Bahamas. She was a member of the Lockport Eagles Club Ladies Auxiliary. Ruth had lived in Gasport for the past 37 years, previously of Lockport.
Surviving is her husband, Carl Beiter. She is also survived by her children, Pamela (Steve) Tagg of Lockport, Gary Bennett of Lockport, Tonna (Howard) Tagg of Lockport and Douglas Weaver of Albion. Sister of Mary (Jerry) Stadelman of Lockport, John (Cindy) Weaver of Gasport and Frank Weaver of Lockport. Grandmother to Josh, John, Melissa, Tonya, Amber, Chris and Amanda. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, seven step-children, many step-grandchildren and a large extended family.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 from the funeral home at 10:00 AM with the Reverend Rodney Klinzing officiating.

John L. Weaver, age 71, of Gasport, entered into rest on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born January 9, 1948, John is the son of the late: Paul and Dorothy (Vorholzer) Weaver. John married Cindy Greene on March 18, 1972 in Lockport. He joined the Army serving from 1968- 1970. John was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping, watching the Buffalo Bills and making people laugh. He had a “Big Heart” and loved to help people. He also was an amateur woodworker. He was a past member of the VFW in Lockport and the Moose Lodge of Lockport. He worked at General Motors in Lockport retiring in 1999 as a material handler. Surviving John is his loving wife: Cindy and children: Jennifer Weaver (Brian Naughton), Windy Weaver, Mike Weaver; grandchildren: Madilyn and Marina Ferreira. Brother of: Frank Weaver, Mary (Jerry) Stadelman and the late Carol Beauman, Ruth Beiter and David Weaver. Mark F. Benedict, Sr passed away on November 5, 2022. He was born on July 26, 1962 in Newfane, New York a son of the late Ward and Carol (Weaver) Benedict, Jr. Mark owned his own trucking company. He enjoyed cars, country and gospel music but most of all he loved being in the garage with his son Mark Jr. and his grandsons Mark Benedict III and Noah Benedict teaching them anything mechanical.

Karen worked for Empower in Sanborn where she was a teachers aide. She enjoyed attending church, playing board and card games, baking, cleaning, going to the casino, taking walks, and especially loved spending time with her family.

Gary Lee Bennett, 52, of Lockport, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Olean, NY, he was the son of Gary Bennett Sr., and the late Ruth (Weaver) Beiter, stepson of Carl Beiter. Beloved father of John Carl (Pamela) Bennett and Joshua Lee Bennet; beloved brother of Pamela (Steven) Tagg, Tonna (Howard) Tagg, Douglas Weaver, Gary Ray Jr, and Annette Ray; grandfather of Julia, Samantha, Malachi, Noah, Jonde and Anthony; also several nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Christa Ray and Anthony Butera. Gary enjoyed fishing, bingo, traveling and music. Gary was greatly loved and he will be sadly missed by family and friends. Gary generously donated his body to the University at Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. A memorial service will be announced at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Beside his father, Christopher was the loving father to his son Ethan Tagg, his girlfriend Casandra Jackson and her sons, Deondre Curry and Owen Brown.  He was the brother of Tonya Weaver and Amanda Kennedy.  He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
