He was born in Audenreid.

He was a member of Niagara

Locomotive Engineers. He was a

who was found hanged in the
basement of his home late
Wednesday afternoon.
The body was found by his
wife after she and a daughter
returned home from a picnic
in Canada.
Mrs. Benjamin told Detective
Lt. George Truesdale and
Detective John R. O'Farrell
her husband had been in good
health.
A native of this city, Mr.
Benjamin was a New York
Central Railroad engineer.
He was a member of Masonic
Lodge No. 75, F&AM, and the
Railroad Brotherhood of Engineers.
He is survived by his wife,

She was 91.  She was born in Niagara Falls on February 18, 1927, a daughter of the late Harold and Bessie Ann (Benjamin) Frantz.  She attended local schools and then married and raised her family.
Erma was a loving lady who enjoyed sitting on her bench outside her home and interacting with the people passing by but her greatest joy was her time with her family.
She is survived by 9 children: Bessie Ann (Gary) Losel, Daniel Stevens, Linda (Ron) Shatzel, Michael (Wendy) Stevens, James (Lisa) Stevens, Gerald (Sue) Stevens, Stanley (Karen) Wills, Tracey (Tom) Maloney and Michael (Ruth Paonessa) Reagle and many grandchildren. Obituary of John Benjamin Jr.

John R. Benjamin Jr. 74 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 8, 1941 he was the son of the late John R. and Mary (Cushing) Benjamin Sr. John was a Fire Captain for 29 years with the Niagara Falls Fire Department.


He is survived by his wife, Elaine (Grabowski) Benjamin Jr.; daughters, Kelly (fiancé James Perri) Volpe and Tamara (Nick) Curtis; sons, Jeff (Jennifer) and Mike (Cindy) Benjamin and Tim (Dianna) Burbee; five grandchildren and brother, Dan (Roberta) Benjamin.

Daniel H. Benjamin, Sr., a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on Tuesday July 26, 2016 at home. He was 70. He was born in Niagara Falls on August 8, 1945, the son of the late John R. and Mary Evelyn (Cushing) Benjamin. He attended local schools and was a graduate of the former Trott Vocational High School. In 1963, Dan began a long career with the State of New York Department of Transportation.

During the Vietnam War, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, a service of which he was very proud. He was honorable discharged and went back to work for the state, retiring in 2000, after 39 years.

Dan was an avid NY Yankees fan and NASCAR Racing. His hobbies included restoring collectible vehicles, his pride being his 1934 Chevy Sedan. You could always find Dan looking for something to tinker with. He was a long standing member of the Free Wheelers.

He is survived by the love of his life of 48 years, Roberta (Shearer) Benjamin; a son, Daniel Benjamin, Jr., (Amy) of Niagara Falls; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Brandon and Brittny; sisters in law, Elaine Benjamin and Priscilla (Richard) Holstrom; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John R. Benjamin, Jr.

Gerald L. “Jerry” Stevens, 61, of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in Northgate Health Care Facility.  Born on September 2, 1957 in Lewiston, NY, he was the son of the late Harold and Erma (Frantz) Stevens.
 
Mr. Stevens lived in Niagara falls most of his life and the last 17 years in Youngstown.  Jerry proudly served in the United States Army from September 8, 1975 until his honorable discharge on September 22, 1977 and completed his reserve obligation on September 7, 1981. He was employed as a truck driver for Modern Disposal.  Mr. Stevens was an avid football fan.
 
Mr. Stevens is survived by children, David (Jessica Gresham) Stevens, Gerald L. “Gerry” (Heather) Stevens, II and Angel Stevens; a grandchild, Shilo Stevens; siblings, James (Lisa) Stevens, Stanley (Karen) Wills, Daniel Stevens, Michael (Wendy) Stevens, Michael (Ruth Paonessa) Reagle, Linda (Ron) Schatzel, Bessie Ann (Gary) Losel and Tracey (Tom) Maloney; his former spouse, Susan Stevens and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by a brother, Harold (late Debbie) Stevens.

Harold J. Stevens, Jr., 56, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of Erma C. (Frantz) Stevens of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Harold J. Stevens, Sr.
Harold was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. On October 30, 1976 he married Deborah R. "Debbie" (Cosimano) Stevens. She predeceased him on December 2, 2007. Harold studied the electrical trade, and for the past eighteen years was employed at Edward High Vacuum, Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY. Harold's passion was riding his motorcycles and was a member of the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club. He was extremely talented and could just about build or make anything. Harold also enjoyed camping, working on cars, performing magic tricks for family and friends, but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, Harold is survived by his three daughters, Stephanie (John) Murphy, Jennifer (Jermaine Hamilton) Stevens and Cheryl Stevens, all of Niagara Falls, NY; ten grandchildren, John Jr., Erik, Isaac, Dominic , Tariq, Sierra, Destiny, Tatyana "TT", Deborah "DeeDee" and Kyrie; his brothers and sisters, Betsy Anne (Gary) Losel, Danny Stevens, Michael (Wendy) Stevens, Linda (Ron) Shatzel, James ( Lisa) Stevens, his twin brother, Gerald (Susan) Stevens, Stanley (Karen) Wills, Michael Regal and Tracey Maloney; as well as many nieces and nephews.
