Marguerite (Peggy) Bergeron Kerwin, 82, on August 20, 2014, at Autumn Ridge of Clarkston, MI, after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 21, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY to Adelard and Elise Bergeron. She lived in Michigan the past 40 years.

Mrs. Kerwin was a graduate of St. Mary's High School (1949) and Niagara University (1953), both in Niagara Falls, NY. She received a Master's Degree in teaching from Oakland University, Rochester, MI. A kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Kerwin taught for many years in the Niagara Falls and North Tonawanda, NY school districts and then in the West Bloomfield, MI school district, from which she retired in 1996. She then continued to teach pre-school for several years.

Mrs. Kerwin is survived by two sons, Keith Kerwin of Lansing, MI, and Kevin (Rebecca) Kerwin of South Lyon, MI; and a daughter, Jacquelynn Kerwin of Novato, CA; three grandchildren, Christopher Kerwin and Julia Kerwin, both of Michigan, and Preston Kerwin-Battaglia of California; three sisters, Marilyn Rougeux of Liverpool, NY, Shirlee Berry of Pittsford, NY and Joanne Corsaro of Albany, NY; one brother, William Bergeron of Niagara Falls, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 11 AM on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 5481 Dixie Highway, Waterford, MI, followed by a service at All Saints Cemetery, 4401 Nelsey Road, Waterford, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011 Washington, D.C. 20090-6011 or online at www.alz.org/join_the_cause_donate.asp.
