APPLICATION TO CHANGE NAME
At a Special Term of the County
Court, County of Niagara, at the
Courthouse, Lockport. New York,
on the 21st day of April. 1948.
Present: Hon. John S. Marsh.
Niagara County Judge.

the change of name of
NORMAN ROBERT BERNDT.
an infant
by Irene Berndt Dauphin, his mother,
Upon reading and filing the petition
of Irene Berndt Dauphin, duly
verified on the 13th day of April.
1948. praying for leave for a change
of name of Norman Robert Berndt it
being requested that he be permitted
to assume the name of Norman Robert
Dauphin, in the place and stead of
his present name, and the court being
satisfied that said petition is true and
It appearing from the said petition
and the court being satisfied that there
is no reasonable objection to the
change of the name proposed and it
appearing that the interests of the
said infant will be substantially promoted
by the change;
NOW, an motion of Catherine Rowley
Lautz, attorney for the said petitioner,
it is
ORDERED, that the said Norman
Robert Berndt be and he hereby is
authorized to assume the name of
Norman Robert Dauphin, in place and
stead of his present name, on the 31st
day of May, 1948, upon his complying
with the provisions of the Civil Rights
Law. Sections 60-64, namely that the
petitioner cause this order and the
papers upon which it was granted to
be filed in the office of the Clerk of
the County of Niagara, New York,
within 10 days from the date hereof,
and that, within 10 days from the date
of the entry of the said order, the petitioner
cause a copy thereof to be published
in the Evening NEWS and within
40 days after the making of this order,
proof of such publication by affidavit
be filed and recorded in the office
of the Clerk of the County of Niagara,
and after such requirements are complied
with, the said petitioner's son.
Norman Robert Berndt, shall on and
after the 31st day of May 1948. be
known as and by the name of NORMAN
ROBERT DAUPHIN. which he
is hereby authorized to assume; and
by no other name.
