    Patricia retired from New York State Parks and enjoyed her last position as an information specialist. She loved singing, music, traveling, reading and doing the daily crossword puzzle. Patricia's favorite activity was spending time with family and friends, and is best known for her great hugs and contagious laugh.
    Patricia is survived by her children, James (Mary Jane) Berthot of Niagara Falls, NY, Janet (Jessie) Price of Huntsville, AL, Mark Berthot of Youngstown, OH, Bruce (Marsha Botelho) Winkworth of Punxsutawney, PA, Kelly Winkworth of North Chili, NY, and Kevin (Ginny) Winkworth of Youngstown, NY; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; four sisters; one brother; and several nieces and nephews.
    Mrs. Winkworth generously donated her body to the University of Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. The family will celebrate Patricia's life privately.
    In lieu of flowers, her children ask friends and family to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice in her name.

    Cheryl A. Alcorn, 69, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on November 20, 2017 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Evelyn (Cooney) Kelly.
    Cheryl was raised in Niagara Falls and attended local schools.  She was a longtime employee of Walmart in Niagara Falls, NY where she worked as a softlines associate.  Cheryl was a huge Buffalo Bills fan who also enjoyed solitaire, free cell and going to Knack’s Restaurant.
    Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband the late Melvin L. Alcorn.  She is survived by her children, Christine (AJ) Lewis, Edward Alcorn, Jerry Alcorn, Steven Alcorn and Susan Alcorn; her grandchildren, Brian  Kunecki, Michael  Kunecki, Deanna (Chris) Pardo, and Steven (Shaunna) Alcorn; her siblings, Betty Beckwith, Mary Jean (late William) Mellan, Charles (Shirley) Kelly, and Colleen (Dennis) Dey, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two siblings, Dennis (Judy) Kelly, and Patricia (late Bruce) Winkworth.

    Obituary of Betty J. Hunt-Beckwith
    Betty J. Hunt-Beckwith (Nee Kelly) age 96, of Lewiston entered into rest on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Our Lady of Peace NCR in Lewiston, NY. Betty was born April 23, 1924 in Austin, PA. She is the eldest child of the late Earl and the late Evelyn (Cooney) Kelly. Betty came to Niagara Falls in 1926 and attended local schools She served in the Army Air Corps. (WAC) during World War II as a medical Corpsman from 1944 till her discharge in 1945. In 1970 she graduated from Trott Adult LPN program and worked at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and the offices of Dr. Rooker, Arthurs and Zohur. IN 1972 Betty joined the American Legion as a member and delegate for the Portage Post 1465 where she became the first woman to serve as Niagara Co. Commander in 1981. She moved to Florida in 1984 and was employed by Humana Hospital as an LPN and also became the first woman Commander of America Legion Post 120 Holly Hill and Post 267 Ormond Beach. Betty Returned to Niagara Falls in 1999 and became the first woman Commander of the American Legion LaSalle Post 1142 in 2001. She served as a senior companion for HANCI for over 10 years and as a proud WWII veteran she was a member of the WNY Honor Flight to Washington D.C in 2010. She is survived by her children, Alfred M. (Paula) Hunt Jr. , Robert L. Hunt , Philip E. (Rose) Hunt , Sandra (Late Ronald) Granieri; her sister, Colleen (Dennis) Dey; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings Charles R. (Shirley) Kelly, Dennis P.     Mary Jean (Kelly) Mellan passed away peacefully on Saturday July 7th 2018 at 90 years of age. She was a daughter of the late Earl and Evelyn (Cooney) Kelly living most of her life as a resident of Niagara Falls New York.

    She was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School and married William J Mellan on February 23rd 1946. They were together for over 50 years until his death in 1996.

    She is survived by her sons. Thomas R. Mellan of Mifflin, PA and Dennis (Jude) Mellan of Troy New York; sisters Betty Hunt Beckwith and Colleen (Dennis) Dey; 17 grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

    She was also predeceased by sons William, David and Earl and infant Timothy Mellan and siblings Patricia Winkworth; Charles and Dennis Kelly and Cheryl Alcorn

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St John de LaSalle Roman Catholic Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue. Niagara Falls. The interment will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

    James E. Berthot, 67, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away at home on July 27, 2018 while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late John Berthot and Patricia (Kelly) Winkworth.
    Jim was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls. He attended local schools and graduated from Bishop Duffy High School. Afterwards he attended Erie County Community College where he earned his AAS Opticianry Degree. Jim served in the Army National Guard until his honorable discharge in 1976. He worked as an optician locally for many years, most recently at the Walmart Vision Center retiring in 2015. Jim was a longtime active member of the former Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Niagara Falls where he served as a lector, Eucharistic Minister, choir member and Catholic Charities volunteer. Jim was a passionate Beatles fan and lifelong Los Angeles Dodgers fan. He was also an avid Buffalo Bills, Sabres and NASCAR fan. Above all, Jim will be remembered as a man of the people who was well liked, fun loving, respected and loved by all who knew him.
    James was predeceased by his beloved wife and Pretty Girl of 47 years Mary Jane (Bennis) Berthot on January 28, 2018. He is survived by his children, Paul Berthot, Jill Berthot, and Angela (Brian) Gregory, two granddaughters, his brothers and sisters, Janet (Jesse) Berthot Price, Mark Berthot, Bruce (Marcia) Winkworth, Kelly Winkworth and Kevin (Virginia) Winkworth as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Visitation will be Monday from 4 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY.     Alfred M. “Al” Hunt, Jr., age 74, of Lewiston entered into rest on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at home alongside his family. Al was born on March 19th, 1948, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Alfred M. Hunt Sr. and the late Betty J. (Kelly) Hunt-Beckwith. Al attended and graduated from the University of Buffalo with a bachelors degree. He married Paulajo Pollow on June 29, 1979, in Lewiston, NY. Al served in the United States Air Force.He retired from Bristol Myers Squibb Oncology in 2005 as an Oncology Pharmaceutical Rep after 28 years. Al was a member and past Vice Commander of the American Legion Lewiston Post 1083. He is survived by his wife: Paulajo Hunt; stepson, Chad (Stacey) Zahradnik; his siblings, Sandra (Late Ronald) Granieri and Phillip (Rose Ann) Hunt, also his grandchildren Megan and Ethan.     Robert graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1968 where he excelled in swimming. After graduating he received as scholarship and attended Colombia University, NYC, enrolled in pre-med. While at Colombia, his thoughts changed and he decided to join the armed services, U.S Marine Corp. in 1971 and dedicated himself to that life, beginning with the rank of Sergeant, 1st Lt., Captain and was honorably discharged in 1989 with the rank of Major.
    With a brilliant mind for computers, he was employed by Burroughs Computer for many years, traveling worldwide, finally retiring as the Vice President of Production.
    Surviving are his two brothers, Alfred M. (Paulajo) Hunt, Jr. and Phillip E. (Rose Ann) Hunt; a half-sister, Sandra (late Ronald) Granieri; his former wife, Sara Sheldon; and many nieces and nephews.
    Private services with Military Honors will be held at Niagara Falls Memorial Park.

Stone, Jr. at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Becky worked as an assistant to the CEO of Advantage Company and as a placement counselor for Advantage Professional, both in Williamsville, NY. She later worked as a Human Resource Information Analyst for Birdseye Foods in Rochester, NY from 2000 until 2010. Becky was a very caring person, and was especially dedicated to the care and well being of her family, especially her two sons.

    In addition to her mother, and her husband of sixteen years, Becky is survived by her two sons, Elliott and Oscar; her two sisters, Melanie (John T.) Loss of Grand Island, NY, Rachel (Guy) Hunt of Niagara Falls, NY; and one brother, Ronald J. (Jennifer Vance) Granieri of Westchester, PA. She was predeceased by her sister, Maria Carmela Granieri. Survivors also include her maternal grandmother, Betty Hunt Beckwith of Lewiston, NY; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins. Becky was the daughter-in-law of Robert A. and Ruth R. Stone, Sr. of Niagara Falls, NY; and sister-in-law of Dennis C. (Marusia) Stone of Chicago, IL.

    Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Rd., Niagara Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 16th at 10:00 AM at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, OSFS officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Private interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
