Mrs. Elizabeth R. Berthot,
58, of 1858 Willow Ave., died
at her home Sunday (April
23, 1961) after suffering a
heart attack.
Born in Limerick, Ireland,
Mrs. Berthot had been a resident
of this city for 31 years
and was an active member
of Sacred Heart Church.
Her husband, Edward Berthot,
died in June of 1958.
Surviving are five daughters,
Miss Gail F. and Miss
Rita J. Berthot and Mrs.
Doreen O'Shea, all of this
city, and Mrs. Mary Ball,
Lewiston, and Mrs. Theresa
Ranney of New York City,
a sister, Mrs. Mae Lysaght,
this city, and a brother, John
McCormick, Manchester, England.
Funeral services will be
held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at
the Otto R e d a n z Funeral
Home and at 9:45 a.m. at
Sacred Heart Church. Interment
will be in Gate of Heaven
Cemetery.

OBITUARY

Evelyn "Mary" Ball of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022, in Elderwood at Wheatfield.   She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on October 25, 1934, a daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth [McCormack] Berthot.
Mrs. Ball graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1952 and became a Business Office Representative with New York Telephone for over 35 years before retiring in 1992.
She was a devoted catholic who volunteered her time at the Fatima Shrine and was very generous with her time and donations.
Mrs. Ball loved spending time with her grandsons and singing with her sisters. She enjoyed cooking, baking and polishing her copper and silver.   She was an avid reader and will be remembered for her famous Thanksgiving pies.  
Mrs. Ball was the wife of the late Robert A. Ball, who passed away in January of 2018.
She is survived by  her son Tim (Jackie) Ball, two grandsons Cullen and Ryan Ball, three sisters Doreen (late Mike) Michailof, Gail (Jim) Hastings and Rita (Paul) Martin, also  many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ball was the sister of the late Ann (Bill) Ranney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a time to be announced.
Mrs. Ball donated her body to the University of Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program.
Memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association of WNY.

Sean E. O’Shea, 59, of Youngstown, NY passed away on May 3, 2018 at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he is the son of Doreen (Berthot) Michailof and the late Senan O’Shea.

Sean attended local schools and graduated from Lew-Port High School. He served as Vice-President and supervisor of Citi Group. He also enjoyed trivia, reading, music and cooking for his family. 

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Judy Olejar O’Shea; his son, Brendan J. O’Shea; his siblings Siobhan O’Shea Lee (Gregory); Kevin O’Shea (Rhonda) and Shannon Thompson; son- in -law of Ida and the late Frank Olejar; brother- in- law of Diane (Joseph) Achytl, and Stephen Olejar as well as his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 7th from 4-8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will follow at 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be sent to the Heart Association. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
