    Mrs. Ida Kingsley.
The sad news came to us last Sabbath
morning, as we were preparing for
church, that Mrs. Ida Kingsley, wife of
Earl Kingsley, had been called from this
earthly life. Among many friends, in-
cluding all classes, the intelligence was
received with evidences of genuine re-
    gret. Gentle in manner, unostentatious
in pretension, she had won for herself a
place in the esteem of the community of
which any member of society might
well feel proud. and, as she passed to
the grave, the course of her funeral
cortege was moistened with the tears of
    many who loved her.
In the opening years of that which
    promised an unqualifiedly successful
career, she stopped to obey the inexer-
able mandate of the Reaper, with her
life work still undone, and yet, withal
much more complete than many who
tottered to their tombs, bending beneath
the weight of years spent in continuous
    effort.
To her relatives remains the tribute of
esteem, which goes out freely to her
memory, the gentle sympathy of friends
who mourn in all sinceeity, the memory
of one who held high rank in their af-
fections, and whose life will prove a
    sweet though saddened heritage through-
out the days of their terrestrial pilgrimm-
    age.
    The pastor the Christian church
officiated at the funeral, on Tuesday,
    Jan 2d, 1894 at 11 a.m., at the resi-
    dence.
