The sudden-death of Mrs. Emma
J. Birge, aged 77, occurred at her
home' on Elm street Tuesday
morning, Mrs. Blrge had not complained-
of feeling ill' and had retired,
as usual on Monday night.
Tuesday morning she was found
dead In. bed.
Mrs. Birge was born In Clinton,
August 4, 1855, a daughter of the
late George and Jane Endsworth.
Bradley and spent all her life
here. She attended Clinton Liberal
Institute and in 1878 was married
to John Birge who died a number
of years ago. She was a member
of .the Presbyterian . Church and
Grace Chapter, O.E.S. Surviving
are two sons, Walter S. Birge of
Clinton, and Wallace W. Birge of
New York City; a brother, George
Bradley of Whitesboro and two
grandchildren, Claire and Robert
Birge of this village.
The funeral was held this
(Thursday) afternoon at her late
home, Rev. Harold W. Wylie of-
ficiating. Burial was made in Sun-
set Hill Cemetery.

John Birge, Seth, aged 13, died Sun-
day and was buried Monday. He had
been very low with diphtheria, but had
rallied, when his vital forces seemed to
give out and he died of heart failure

Wallace W. Birge, 62, died at
the Presbyterian Hospital, in New
York on Friday after an illness
of two weeks.
He was born In Clinton, July
IS. 1888, the son of John and
Emma Bradley Birge. He lived in
Clinton until 1908, when he went
to New York. In 1906 he married
Mary Helen Smith in Newton
Centre, Mass.
Mr. Birge is survived, besides
bis wife, by a twin brother, Walter
S. Birge of Clinton, and a
nephew, Robert J. Birge, of Utica,

Bryan Kirk Birge, infant son of
Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Birge, of
River road, died suddenly Saturday,
Mar. 28 at Northern Dutchess
hospital. He was born Dec. 21,
1963 in Kingston.
Surviving, besides his parents,
are his twin brother, Bradley Seth,
one other brother, Robert Scott,
a sister, Deborah Marie, a paternal
grandmother, Mrs. Marie R.
Birge of Utica, and several aunts,
uncles and cousins.
Graveside services were held
Monday, Mar. 30 at Crown Hill
Memorial Park in Kirkland.

Church, officiated
