Henry Bisher, 46, of 105 Washington
street died at 11 o'clock last
night in the City Hospital. He has
been ill since Friday but the seriousness
of his condition was not realized
until late yesterday when he
was rushed to the hospital in an
unconscious condition. The cause
of his death had not been determined
this morning.
Mr. Bisher was born in the town
of Lockport and lived practically
all his life- in this locality. He was
employed at the steam plant of tta
Lockport Division, New York State
Electric and Gas Company.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jennie
Morse Bisher; five children,
Gordon, Donald, Kathryn, Dorothy
and Melvin Bisher; his mother, Mrs.
Mary Bisher; four brothers and

Dorothy L. Caraglin, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2022. Born in Lockport, NY, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Jenny Bisher.
Dorothy was educated in the Barker Central Schools. On April 29, 1950 she married her beloved husband, Frank J. Caraglin in the Town of Royalton. Mr. Caraglin predeceased her on September 23, 2001.
Dorothy was a longtime member of the American Legion Cadille Post 1664 and the LaSalle-Griffon VFW Post 917. She enjoyed needle work, crocheting, playing cards, reading, as well as listening to music. Above all, Dorothy especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Noreen (Norman) Maillet, Frank (Bambi) Caraglin, Jr., John Caraglin, Mark (Tammy) Caraglin, Loura (Floyd) Maines, Mary (Pat) Corsaro, Debbie (Vince) Ferlito and Jean (late Skip) Hachee; 23 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; her sister, Bonnie (late Vince); as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was predeceased by her daughter, Cindy (Michael) Willimott and her siblings, Bill (late Frances) Bisher, Gordon (late Myrtle) Bisher, Catherine (late Ed) Just and Melvin Bisher.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 23 from 4 – 7 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Donald W. "Bill" Bisher
(October 28, 1926 - January 11, 2015)

Of Newfane, NY husband of the late Frances Kozyra Bisher entered into rest peacefully at his residence. He was born in Pendleton, New York on October 28, 1926. Bill was self employed as a carpenter for many years and later in life he worked for Henchel farms. He spent most of his years living in Lockport till coming to Newfane. Bill was a member of the Niagara Falls area American Legion he also spent many years as a volunteer member of the Wrights Corners Fire Co. Bill was an honorably discharged World War II veteran serving in the Marine Corps. from 1944 to 1946 where he was awarded the Purple heart for his service. Survivors include a sister Dorothy Caraglin of Niagara Falls, a niece Susan (Larry) Dormer of Newfane, a Nephew Steven (Brenda) Perry of Lockport along with several other nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his brothers Gordon Bisher and Melvin Renz and also a sister Catherine Just. The family would like to thank the friends, neighbors and management of the Hamlet square apartment complex for all of their help and friendship. There will be no prior visitation. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Critically injured Friday when his
auto overturned at a curve in the
Thrall Road Walter E. Bisher Jr.,
22, a World War II veteran, died
at 8:30 Sunday morning in Lock
port City Hospital of a fractured
skull.
Mr. Bisher was born Sept. 18,
1926 in Lockport, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Bisher who now lives
in the Lower Mountain Road. He
attended public schools in Lockport
and Barker. Before entering the
service he was employed in the
Nu-Way Market.
During World War II, Mr. Bisher
served in the Navy as a signalman
after receiving his training in
Sampson.* He participated in the
invasion of Japan.
After receiving his discharge, Mr
Bisher was employed by the Simonds
Saw and Steel Company of
Lockport. He was a member of
Lockport Aerie, 825, Fraternal Or
der of Eagles.
Besides his parents, Mr. Bisher
leaves two sisters, Mrs. Arnold Wy
ant of Auburn and Mrs, Ellsworth
Kenyon of Lockport and one brother,

Cynthia (Caraglin) Willimott, passed on March 1st 2022 at age 67. She was surrounded by her family at Niagara Falls Memorial Center. Born on October 18, 1954 to Dorothy (Bisher) and the late Frank Caraglin, Sr. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School  in 1973. Cindy worked various jobs until retiring from Opportunities Unlimited after 20 years. 

Cindy lived her life to the fullest, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed being the life of any party. She loved to go camping, and to the beach, and spent a lot of time with her friends Lee and Rob Frost , Patty and “Kitkat”. She enjoyed their company and friendship very much. 

She is survived by her husband, Michael Willimott. Her three children, Jamie (Carlos) Skye,  Danielle (John) Davis and Christopher (Jakia) Skye.  Her grandchildren, Michael Skye,  JaNaiya A.K.A Shania, Gulley, Nesiah Gulley, Naim Gulley, Jr., Aveiona Gulley,

He is the son of the late Glenn H. and the late Dolores M. (Bisher) Zahno. He graduated from Lew-Port in 1956. He married Linda A. Zahno, she predeceased him on September 11, 1991. Wayne was employed by Napa, Auto Zone, Advanced Auto as a delivery Driver, previously working at Modern Disposal. Wayne loved to spend time with his family.He is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Chris) Leone of Lewiston, NY; his sister Rita (Late Jim) Rohring; brother Glenn H. LEWISTON — Larry E. Zahno, age 68, of Lewiston, died on Monday, August 19, 2013 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a brief illness.

Larry was born May 4, 1945 in Ransomville, the son of the late Glenn H. and Dolores May (Bisher) Zahno. He attended Lewiston Porter High School and was a lifelong area resident. He married Patricia (DeLill) Zahno on May 24, 1969. Larry owned and operated Larry Zahno Trucking for 30 years, hauling produce for local farmers, fertilizer and logs. He then worked as a truck driver for Modern Disposal for a number of years before establishing an auto repair shop in Ransomville, which he had operated the last 12 years.

Larry loved camping and NASCAR. He had enjoyed drag racing at the Niagara Dragway, spending time at the casino and being with people and working.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; a son, Daniel (Stacey) Zahno of Ransomville; his grand- daughters, Lauren and Leah; a sister, Rita (late Jim) Rohring of Wilson; two brothers, Glenn H. (Suzanne) Zahno, Jr. of Ransomville and Wayne Zahno of Niagara Falls, NY; his sisters-in-law, Carol Burmaster, Michelle Figura and Mary Jo (Joe) Laduca; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Christopher Thomas Skye, 39, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 7, 2023.  Born on April 1, 1984 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas Skye and the late Cynthia (nee Caraglin) Willimott.

Chris worked at Giovanni’s Auto Shop as a mechanic. He loved spending time with his family and friends and to barbecue.  Chris also enjoyed fishing and had a new fondness for bingo. He had a heart of gold and he will be greatly missed.

Joseph Caraglin, 36, of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023. Born in Lewiston, NY, he is the loving son of Frank and Bambi (Martin) Caraglin.
Joe attended St. Peter’s School, as well as Lewiston-Porter High School. He was currently employed by the Griffon Brewery and Gastropub in Lewiston, and also worked as a landscaper for several years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed to play frisbee golf, attend concerts with his friends and spend time with his cats and dog. He was also a passionate fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Yankees. Above all, Joe cherished the time spent with his family and friends who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, Joseph is survived by his beloved siblings, Gina (Eric Leask) Caraglin, Franci (Tim) Ferchen, Frankie (Jess Kelley) Caraglin and Giovanna (Alan) Sherrill; his cherished nieces and nephews, Ormead, Malaya, Timmy, Luke and Sophia; his devoted friends, Ana Caraglin and Michael 'Dread' Armstrong, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
