Mrs. Emma May Bissell, 84, a
lifetime resident of Orleans County,
died Tuesday (July 38, 1883)
after a long illness at Medina
Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Bissell, who had resided at
the Orleans County Infirmary
since the death of her husband,
Franklin J. Bissell. in 1854, was
born in Alabama July 7, 1878, the
daughter of Robert and Augusta
Babcook.
A former member of the Baptist
Church in Albion, she is survived
by a son, Erwin Bissell of
Barker, and three daughters,
Mrs. Vincent (Cora) Wells of Shelby
Center, Mrs. Mehrin (Rose)
Forman of Alabama, and Mrs.
Margaret Sewor of Billings, Mont.
She is also survived by eight
grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren,
and five great - greatgrandchildren.
Friends may call at the Houseman
Funeral Home, 228 Park
Ave., Medina, where the family
will be present from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will
be conducted by the Rev. Clinton
Kenney, pastor of the First Presbyterian
Church, Medina, at the
Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday
Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant
Cemetery, West Shelby.

Hospital Canandaigua.
He was the father of Richard

(Jean) Prentice of Burt. Other
survivors include a sister, Mrs.
Rose Foreman of Alabama

Frederick P. Wells, 71, of Medina
died Tuesday evening at Medina
Memorial Hospital shortly after
admission.
Bom in Alabama, N.Y. on Dec.
19, 1916, a son of Vincent and Cora
(Bissell) Wells, he had spent his
whole life in the Medina area. He
was employed at FMC in Middleport
for 30 years, retiring in 1978. He
was an avid hunter.
Survivors include his wife,
Mildred^ (Roggow) Wells; two sons,
Roy Wells of Florida and Peter
Wells of Kent; three daughters,
Jeanette Wells of Medina, Frederica
Duncan of Albion, and Paulette Russell
of Ohio; 10 grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; two brothers,
Irwin and Alfred Wells, bouV of
Medina;, two sisters, Dorothy Eastern
of Alabama, N.Y. and Elizabeth
Burns of Middleport; and several
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call at

Lund, pastor of Faith Bible Baptist

Luther E. Wells, 47, of Hellert
Road, died Saturday morning at
Medina Memorial Hospital after a
year's illness.
He was born May 31, 1937 in
Wheatfield, to Vincent and Cora
(Bissell) Wells and had spent his
entire life in Orleans County. He was
a member of the Operating
Engineers Local No. 217, and had
been employed as an operating
engineer by Holmes, Murphy and
Tri Delta and the ABC Construction
Co., both of Orchard Park.
Survivors include his wife, the
former Ruth Eggert; two sons,
Robert and Vincent, both at home;
three brothers, Fred, Erwin and
Alfred, all of Medina, two sisters,
Dorothy Easton of Alabama,
Elizabeth Burns of Medina; and
several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Funeral services were held today
at Houseman Funeral Home, Park
Avenue, with the Rev. Clarence W.
Elliott, pastor of St. John's Lutheran
Church, County Line, officiating.
Burial was in Mount Pleasant

Beatrice (Bissell) Buczkowski

September 10, 1924 - July 31, 2018
Beatrice (Bissell) Buczkowski, aka Aunt Bea, owner of B&B Sound, has gone to the great casino-bingo hall in the sky. Bea was an avid entertainer with her music, her red hair and her feisty young at heart attitude, which she spread among family and friends. She was very dedicated in her support of the military and showed it with several hats of the branches of the Armed Forces. 
Beatrice was born in Alabama, NY on September 10, 1924, a daughter of the late Erwin and Ethel Bissell. She is survived by her son, Matthew (Leslie) Buczkowski; three granddaughters, Stacey (Scott) Pollack, Tina (Amos) Andrews and Julie (Dale) Llewellyn. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sophie (Fini) Bissell; son-in-law, Ronald (late Elaine) Hackett and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Mac Buczkowski; her daughter, Elaine (Ronald) Hackett; two brothers, Richard and Erwin Bissell and her sister, Alila "Jeannie" Prentice.

She was born in Lockport, NY June 12, 1944, the daughter of Beatrice Bissell Buczkowski of Newfane and the late Matthew “Mac” Buczkowski. She married Ronald Hackett June 21, 1969. She worked for Dr. Middleman in Lockport for many years. Elaine and Ronald wintered in Florida. She loved and enjoyed her grandchildren, casino trips and gardening. Mother of Stacey (Scott) Pollock of Newfane and Kevin (Amy) Hackett of Gainesville, FL. Grandmother of Steven and Joseph Pollock and Samantha and Taylor Hackett. Sister of Matthew (Leslie) Buczkowski of Newfane. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
