    Ernest A. Raetz, son of Mr. and Mrs.
    August C. Raetz, died at his home on
    the Canal Road, Town of Lockport,
    Saturday afternoon, February 28, 1920,
    aged 21 years. Besides his parents, he
    is survived by two brothers and three
    sisters, Mrs. Louise Bistoff of Buffalo,
    August, William, Marie and Anna at
    home.
    Private funeral services were held
    from the Undertaking Parlors of Prudden-
    Weaver Co., Monday afternoon
    March 1st. Interment was made In Cold
    Springs cemetery.

    APPLETON - William E.
    Raetz Sr.. 53, of 7429 Lake
    Road, died unexpectedly Wednesday
    after suffering an apparent
    heart attack at home.
    He died in Inter-Community
    Memorial Hospital, Newfane,
    shortly after admittance.
    He was born March 5, 1912,
    in the Town of Royalton, a
    son of August and Ernesting
    Keuken Raetz. He had re-
    sided in this community for
    the last 19 years and was em-
    ployed by the Maier Schule
    GMC Truck Co. of Lockport.
    Prior to that, he worked for
    the Niagara County Fruit co.,
    Lockport.
    Survivors include his wid-
    ow, Florence Eartel Raetz; a
    daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Flor-
    ence) Tarajos, Newfane; four
    sons, William E. Raetz, Bar-
    Barker;
    Walter E. and Richard A.
    Raetz, Appleton, and David J.
    Raetz, North T o n a w a n d a;
    seven g r a n d c h i l d r e n ; three
    sisters, Mrs. Glenn Sponsei
    and Mrs. Louise Bistoff, both
    of Lockport, and Mrs. Edward
    Robideau, Swormsville; and a
    brother, August Raetz, Lock-
    port.
    Friends may call at the Rut-
    land-Corwin Funeral Home,
    Newfane, starting today. The
    family will be present from 2
    to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services
    will be held Saturday at the
    funeral home and burial will
    be in the Corwin Cemetery,
    Newfane.

She was born in Newfane, NY on March 19, 1941, the daughter of the late William and Florence Bartel Raetz. Florence worked at Key Bank in Barker, NY. She enjoyed spending time, going on day trips and to dinner with her boyfriend Lloyd. Florence was very involved with Boy Scout troop 26 as Treasurer and Secretary. Mother of William (Kristen) Tarajos and Stephen (Victoria Suto) Tarajos. Grandmother of Anna, Aaron, Samuel and Sarah Tarajos. Sister of David Raetz, Walter "Butch" Raetz and the late Richard and William Raetz. Loving companion of Raymond "Lloyd" Short. Sister in law of Peter, Theresa Tarajos and the late Ignatius "Jim", Joseph, John Tarajos and Paul Tarajos. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on Thursday August 29, 2019 from 7-9pm, Friday August 30, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11am in St. Brendan on the Lake Parish (St. Bridget's) 3455 Ewings Rd. Newfane, NY. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery. Retired from General Motors in Lockport, NY. in Florida she was on the Highpoint Crime Watch, Highpoint Safety Patrol and was a waitress in the club house. She also was the server in the golf club, VP for Mobile Patrol and the Florida Red Hat Moma's. To know her was to love her. Arlene loved doing crafts. Mother of Laura (Mark Grenzy) Thomas, Larry (Annette) Stanton, Linda (Jeff) Mattiuzzo and Joseph (Karen) Nabone. Sister of Maryann Turner and the late Robert Jones. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and the late Ashton R. Stanton and 11 great grandchildren.     Obituary of Gary "Jonesie" Jones

    Gary E. “Jonesie” Jones passed away April 18, 2022. Born June 14, 1946 in Lockport, he was the son of Edward F. and Eleanor (Bistoff) Jones. Jonesie was a graduate of Roy-Hart, Class of 1964. He served in the US Air Force from 1966 to 1968 and was a member of the United States Air Force Band. Since 1979, He worked for Strate Welding Supply, where he was a manager. He was best known as a musician since 1968, singing with Rotary Bed and then Jonesie & the Cruisers. Jonesie was an avid fan of both the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees. He loved watching races at Ransomville Speedway and riding his motorcycle with friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his infant brother Edward F. Jones, Jr.
    Jonesie is survived by his wife Tina L. (Barrancotta) Jones; children William E. (Julie Fumanti) Jones, Nadine (Michael) Pantano, and Ashley Jones; grandson Michael Pantano, Jr.; siblings Richard (Anne) Jones, Judy Jones-Bell, and Robert (Debi) Jones; also several nieces and nephews.
    Relatives and friends may call Thursday, April 21st from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will beheld Friday, April 22nd at 10 AM. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
