WRIGHT'S CORNERS-Arthur (Bill) Jones, of 3683
Lockport-Olcott Road, who would have celebrated his
58th birthday today, died Sunday (March 10, 1968) at
Lockport Memorial.Hospital after suffering an apparent
heart attack at his home.
He was born in Lockport and
had resided here for the last
15 years.
He was employed at the Lockport
Felt Co. Division of the
Carborundum. Co. He had been
a fireman there for' 15 years.
Previous to that he. was a fireman
on the former New York
Central Railroad.
Mr. Jones was, a member
of the Wright's Corners Presbyterian
Church.
Survivors include his wife, the
former Gertrude Bistoff; two
daughters, Mrs. George (Mary
Ann) Swigert of Newfane, and
Mrs. Donald (Arlene) Stanton
of Lockport; a sister, Mrs.
George (Ethel) Leber of Hawthorne,
Calif., and a brother,
Edward of Lockport, and four
grandchildren.
Friends may call beginning
today at 7 p.m. at the Kenneth
H. Sherrie Funeral Home, Newfane,
Servcies will be held there
Wednesday at 2 p.m. the Rev.
Robert LaMay will "officiate.
Burial will be in Cold Spring
Cemetery, Lockport.

Arlene L. Stanton
of Florida formerly of Newfane, NY Fiancée of the late Joseph Nabone of Florida entered into rest August 13, 2021. She was born in Lockport, NY August 17, 1944, the daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude Jones. She was a graduate of Newfane Central School class of 1962. Retired from General Motors in Lockport, NY. in Florida she was on the Highpoint Crime Watch, Highpoint Safety Patrol and was a waitress in the club house. She also was the server in the golf club, VP for Mobile Patrol and the Florida Red Hat Moma's. To know her was to love her. Arlene loved doing crafts. Mother of Laura (Mark Grenzy) Thomas, Larry (Annette) Stanton, Linda (Jeff) Mattiuzzo and Joseph (Karen) Nabone. Sister of Maryann Turner and the late Robert Jones. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and the late Ashton R. Stanton and 11 great grandchildren. Family and Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME,  INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY WEDNESDAY September 1, 2021 from 3-7 PM where Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Niagara Hospice, Cystic Fibrosis or the American Heart Association.
