    WILSON, April 1.-Christopher
    Blacklock, one of the best known former
    residents of this village, died today
    at the home of his daughter, Mrs
    Lyle Barrett, In Buffao. The funeral
    wUl be held Sunday afternoon at
    2:30 from the Hamilton and Clarke
    undertaking rooms here. Interment
    will be In Greenwood cemetery.
    Besides Mrs. Barrett, he is survived
    by two other daughters, Mrs. Ralph
    Rignall, of Lockport, and Miss Isadore
    Blacklock, of Greensboro, N. O, and
    three grandchildren. His wife, Barbara
    Blacklock, died last January.
    Mr. Blacklock was formerly a fanner
    here for about 35 years.

    For 19 years, Mr Blacklock

    lathe operator at the Great Lakes
    Carbon Corp . Niagara Falls. He
    retired two years ago.
    Mr Blacklock was a member of
    Forest Lodge, 100K, Sanborn and
    the Woodsmen of the World.
    Survivors include his wife. Bertha
    Hudson Blacklock: one daughter.
    Mrs. Burton Ashby, Colonial

    George and Mabel Blacklock.
    He was a World War II veteran
    and served with the Second
    Medical Training Regiment.
    He was a farmer in this
    area for 43 years, and for the
    past 20 years was employed
    at Harrison Division of General
    Motors, Lockport. He
    was a member of Hess Road
    Wesleyan Ohurch.
    Mr. Blacklock married Dorothy

    1952 at Appleton. He is survived
    also by four sons; Lauren
    and Gerald Budde of Appleton,
    Melvin Budde Jr., of
    Gasport, and Raymond at
    home; four daughters; Marie
    Webb of Lockport, Mrs. Frank
    (Evelyn) Udell of Appteton,
    Mrs. William- (Mildred) Harris
    of Niagara Falls, and Mrs.

    coast until last March when he
    went to England. He crossed the
    channel to France last month.

    (Barker/Newfane) Raymond M. Blacklock age 70, passed away peacefully April 3, 2024 at Niagara Hospice surrounded by his loving wife.  He was born August 21, 1953 in Lockport, a son of the late Maurice and Dorothy (Chase) Blacklock. 
    Ray was an avid outdoorsman and loved gardening and hunting.  His passion was woodworking and made many keepsakes for family and friends.  Ray volunteered at the Faith United Methodist Church food pantry.  Most importantly, Ray loved spending time with his family and friends.  
     In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 6 brothers and 2 sisters. 
    Ray is survived by his wife of 27 years, Cheryl; daughter Christine Hoskinson; son Derick Hoskinson; siblings Sharon (Roy) Pacheco, Lauren (Ann) Budde, Millie Harris; sisters-in-law Jane (late Melvin) Budde, Pam (Rick) Ebling and their daughters and families as well as several other in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 
    The family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St., Gasport, Wednesday April 10th 11:00am-1:00pm where his Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm.  Burial in Hartland Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Rd., Lockport NY 14094 or the Faith United Methodist Church food pantry, 1449 Quaker Rd., Barker NY 14012.
