Herbert J. Blair, 83, of 742
Revere Ave., died today (May
27, 1964) in DeGraff Memorial
Hospital.
He was a lifelong resident
of the Tonawandas and a
member of the Grove Street
Church of Christ in Tonawanda.
Survivors i n c l u d e his
widow, the former Augusta
Nagel; three s o n s , Edward,
Arthur and Darrow. Blair; a
daughter, Mrs. Wllbert (Berawandas;
eight grandchildren
nice) Brennon, all of the Tonand
two great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted
at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the
Frethold Funeral Home, Rev.
Donald L. Gardner officiating.
Burial will be in White
Chapel Memorial Park.

7 to 8 p.m.

Buffalo. A native of Tonawanda, he
was the brother of the late Arthur
Blair Mr. Blair had been employed
at National Mfg. Co., in Tonawanda
for 55 years until 1980 and was a life
member of the Eldredge Club and a
60 year member of the National
Paint & Varnish Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Regina
(nee Jordan) Blair; two sons,
Noel D. (Myrna) Blair of Grand
Island and Mark J. (Sylvia) Blair of
Kenmore; three grandchildren,
Noel D. Blair Jr. Babette and
Carter Blair; a sister, Mrs. Bernice
JBrenon of Tonawanda; a brother,

Homestead, Fla.. and several nieces
and nephews.

Blair, Noel D. “Cheeta” – April 28, 2024, age 90.  Beloved husband of 64 years to Myrna (nee Farrell) Blair. Father of Babette (Bill) Strassburg, Noel Jr. (Patty) and Carter. Grandfather of Troy Strassburg, Hannah Strassburg, Austin, Cameron and Abby.  Noel attended Tonawanda HS where he graduated with his high school sweetheart Myrna in 1952.  After graduating the University of Buffalo he moved on to a career in chemical engineering.  Noel served in the US Coast Guard, was an avid boat racer, boat builder and antique car enthusiast winning several national championships and high point titles.  Noel followed the NY Yankees and was a diehard Buffalo Bills fan holding season tickets since 1964.  Share condolences at rothfuneral.com.

(nee Blair) Shepler, of North Tonawanda, age 84, passed away on March 10, 2014. Mrs. Shepler was born on May 5, 1929 in the City of Tonawanda, daughter of the late Mary Blair. Wilma, a homemaker while her two children were young, later worked at the North Tonawanda Public Library, she was a avid reader and bowler. Wilma was an organizer for over 40 years of the "Smith Family Reunion". Mrs. Shepler also enjoyed her grandchildren very much. Although Wilma was born and raised in Salem UCC, once she settled in North Tonawanda she became an active member of St. Peter's UCC until it's closing. Beloved wife of 62 years to Robert Dean Shepler; devoted mother of Susan I. (Jim) Petruzzi of Ft. Collins, CO and R. Dean (Sandy) Shepler of Schenectady, NY; loving grandmother of Jason Gabour, Brandon Michael and Matthew Robert Shepler; great-grandmother of Bailey, Madelyn, Logan and Carter Gabour. Pullo (d 1995), she is survived by her sister Gail (Robert) Nugent, two sons, Mark (Brenda) & Scott (Michele), grandson Michael & granddaughter Tara. Also two nieces, Lynn (Tim) Braley & Michelle (John) Laganiak, two nephews, Patrick (Amy) Nugent and Saverio Gonzales, two sisters-in-law, Suzanne (Ernie) Chank & Norma Gonzales and long-time companion Mr. Walter Wasyluk.

Janet enjoyed her ladies’ golf leagues, gardening, traveling, dancing, roller skating & her cats.

Funeral services will be held at North Presbyterian Church, 168 Payne Ave in North Tonawanda on 29 May @ 12:15 pm.

Larry H. Brenon, age 75, of Tonawanda, died Sunday, January 5, 2020 at his residence under the care of Hospice. Born August 10, 1944 in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Wilbert and Bernice (nee Blair) Brenon. Larry was a graduate of Tonawanda High School and had been employed at the City of Tonawanda Water Department before retiring. He was a member of the Tennessee Squire, and a former member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post No. 264 and the Renaisance Club of North Tonawanda. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, Nascar Racing, the Yankees, and Jack Daniels.
He was the husband for more than 54 years of Eugenia "Jean" (nee Pellegrino) Brenon; father of Laura (Michael) Gauda, Michele (Michael) DiGiulio, and Larry (Tammy) Brenon, II; grandfather of Melissa Brenon, Cara (Charlie) Partridge, Michael DiGiulio, Jr, Matthew DiGiulio, Noah Brenon, Justin Gauda, and Mason Brenon; great-grandfather of Charlie Partridge; and brother of Tim Brenon.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday. Friends invited.
