    Monday (June 30, 1975) at
    DeGraff Memorial Hospital.
    Born in Beamsville, Ontario,
    he had been a resident of
    Buffalo for more than 60 years
    and of Tonawanda for the past
    eight years and was a member
    of Salem United Church of
    Christ. Mr. McElroy owned
    and operated the Robert A.
    McElroy Moving & Carting in
    Buffalo, for more than 45
    years, retiring in 1961.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Eva E. (nee King) McElroy;
    three daughters, Mrs. Wallace
    (Bernice) Blakelock of
    Buffalo, Mrs. Barton
    (Dorothy) Blakelock of Grand
    Island and Mrs. Stanley (Ellen)
    Slominski of Tonawanda; ten
    grandchildren and eighteen
    great-grandchildren.
    Friends may call from 7-9
    p.m. this evening and 2-4 and
    7-9 p.m. Tuesday at John O.
    Roth Funeral Home, Morgan
    and William Sis., Tonawanda
    where services win be
    conducted at 11a.m. Wednesday
    by the Rev, Richard H. Trump.
    Burial will be in Elmlawn
    Cemetery. If desired,
    memorial contributions may be
    made to Salem United Church
    of Christ.

    (nee McElroy)
    age 92 of the City of Tonawanda, June 2, 2023. Wife of 57 years to the late Stanley J. Slominski, mother of Joan (Joseph) Scarpena, Robert (Patricia) Slominski and Carol (Kevin) Ullrich, grandmother of Brian (Jenn), Mark (Kate), Sara (Zach), Emily, Matthew, Tyler, Melissa and Hannah and 8 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Bernice and Dorothy. Also many nieces and nephews. Ellen was a long time active member of Salem United Church of Christ in Tonawanda. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday June 6, 2023 from 3-7 PM at JOHN 0. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts) in the-City of Tonawanda. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday June 7, 2023 at 11 AM in Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan St. in the City of Tonawanda. Everyone welcome to attend. Burial will follow in Elmlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Ellen may be made to Salem United Church of Christ.
