    Frank V. Deuro, 93, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on December 2, 2019 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Facility in Lewiston, NY.  Born on April 18, 1926 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Bongiovanni) Deiuro.
    Frank was raised in Niagara Falls, attending local schools.  He proudly served in the US Army during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign, from 1944 until his honorable discharge in 1946.  On November 10, 1951, he married Lottie E. (Wojtowicz) Deuro at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.  Mrs. Deuro predeceased him on June 6, 1996. 
    In 1964, he graduated with an Ophthalmic Dispenser Degree from Niagara County Community College.  Frank was employed as a Foreman at Carborundum Corporation in Niagara Falls, NY for 40 years.  He was the Past Commander of the Portage Post #1465, a member of the 40 & 8 La Societe 388, Buff Social Club, Carborundum Retirement Club, and was Past President of the Carborundum Management Club.  In addition, he was a longtime officer of the Elks BPOE Lodge #346, serving as Tiler for many years and was awarded Elk of the Year in 1996. 
    Frank was very active in the community, volunteering in many civic organizations.  In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, gardening, working with tools, reading, and exercising.  One of the highlights of his life was traveling to Washington, DC with his son and fellow World War II Veterans on Honor Flight to see all of the memorial sites.  Above all Frank cherished his time with his family, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.
    Frank is survived by his children, Deborah (Charles) Deuro-Naughton and James F. (late Gail) Deuro; his grandchildren, Michael (Terri) Gormley, Michelle (Tony) Enrico, Christopher Gormley, Erin Naughton, Joshua Naughton, and Courtney Deuro; great-grandchildren, Michael & Elizabeth, Bill & Angela, and Nick and Alec; his brother, John (late Jere) Deuro, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins, along with many dear friends and neighbors.  In addition to his wife of 44 years, he was predeceased by his daughter, Dorothy (Jerry) Gormley, as well as his siblings, Leonard (late Mary) Deuro, Carrie (late Ray) Szalach, and Marie Bailey.
    Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5 from 4 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304. The Elks will be conducting a prayer service at 7 PM in honor of Frank.  Funeral services will begin on Friday at 9:30 AM at the Funeral Chapel, followed by Frank’s Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Niagara Falls Firefighters Christmas Toy Fund, P.O.
