    AKRON, Aug. 25 -Funeral services
    for Mrs. Mary Ann Borchert,
    wife of the late Charles Borchert,
    who died Wednesday in her home,
    158 Main street, this village, will be
    held at 2:30 Saturday afternoon in
    the home. Burial will be made in
    Evergreen Lawn cemetery.
    Mrs. Borchert is survived by a son,
    Harold Borchert of Akron; three
    daughters, Mrs. Helen Gay of Akron
    and Mrs. Daniel Bender and Mrs.
    William Pagan, botn of Buffalo; and
    a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Sparling of
    Akron.

    where he had been a patient
    for three days.
    A lifetime resident of Akron
    and a retired employe of the
    National Gypsum Company of
    Akron, he was also a member
    of St. John's Lutheran Church,
    Akron.
    He was born in Akron Jan.
    18, 1895, the son of the late
    Charles and Mary Rhinehardt
    Borchert. He was married to
    *he late Anna Buth who died
    in December, 1969.
    Survivors include a daughter,
    Mrs. Howard (Arlene) Olds;
    three grandchildren, Janice,
    Clifford and Jeffrey all of Lockport;
    and a sister, Mrs. Helen
    Gay of Akron.
    Friends may call at the
    Bernhardt Funeral Home, 130
    Main St., Akron where funeral
    services will be held Tuesday
    at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Calvin
    S i g m o n of the Trinity
    Evangelical Lutheran Church of
    South Newstead officiating.
    Burial will be in Evergreen
    Lawn Cemetery. Memorials
    may be made to St. John's
    Lutheran Church, Akron.

    Notes:

    Arlene B. Olds passed away December 23, 2020 at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. Born March 14, 1922 in Akron, NY, she was the daughter of Harold and Anna (Buth) Borchert.
    Arlene was an office worker for Duriron in Buffalo. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Olds, in 1986.
    Arlene was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Lockport until moving to Canandaigua, NY, to be closer to family.
    Arlene is survived by her children, Janice (John) Murphy of Naples, NY, Clifford (Paula) Olds of Leland, NC, and Jeffrey Olds of Rochester, NY; and grandchildren, Laura Olds, Mary-Kate (Josh) Lewis, Brian Murphy, Caitlin Murphy; and one great-grandchild, Isaac Lewis, all who brought great joy to her later years.
    Private graveside services were held at the convenience of the family. Interment was in Cold Springs Cemetery. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.

    Arlene married OLDS, Howard C on 23 May 1953 in Akron, Erie County, NY. Howard (son of OLDS, William J) died in 1986. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
