(Quinn) Novak, age 87, of North Tonawanda, on Sunday, April 20, 2014 in the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care Facility, after a brief illness. Mary was a 30-year employee of Sears, retiring in 1994. She was an active member of many political organizations in North Tonawanda. She was a member of the Sheridan Park Women's Golf League for 40 years. She was also an avid bowler and enjoyed gardening and needlework. She was the wife of the late George F. Novak, who died in 2013. Dear mother of Carole Novak-Lewis of North Tonawanda, Christine Hess of Lockport and Richard (Nancy) Novak and Michael Novak, both of North Tonawanda; grandmother of Eric (Stacey) Hess, David (Amy) Novak, Megan Hess and C. J. Lewis; great grandmother of Claudia and Taylor Novak; sister of Elizabeth Quinn of Baltimore, MD, Rita Carmel of Nanty-Glo, PA, Jack (Shirley) Quinn of Pennsylvania and Myra (Robert) Lawrence of Baltimore, MD. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday at 1 PM from the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda. He was the son of the late George F. and Mary (Quinn) Novak. Beloved brother of Carole Lewis of North Tonawanda and Christine Hess of Lockport, Richard (Nancy) Novak of North Tonawanda and the late David Novak. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and a large extended family. No prior visitation, funeral services will be held privately.
