    Henry Boye, 70, retired farmer,
    died at 8 o'clock this morning at his
    home, 364 Willow street. He had been
    in failing health for several months.
    Mr. Boye was born March 9, 1859,
    in Mecklenburg, Germany, but came
    t o this country at the age of fifteen
    years. He settled in the town of Lancaster,
    Brie county, and lived there
    until 1883 when he moved to the
    Coomer road, Niagara county. In
    1904 he retired and came to live in
    this city.
    Surviving an his widow, Mrs.
    Mary Heintz Boye; four sons and
    two daughters, Edward H. Boye of
    Buffalo, John C. Boye of Hollywood,
    Calif., Mrs. Otto W. Kandt, Frank
    J. and Victor R. Boye, all of Lockport,
    and Emma S. Boye of Medina;
    nine grandchildren and one sister
    Mrs. Dora Greenwald of Buffalo.

    Cal. Mr. Boye. who moved to Hollywood
    about 25 years ago. had
    operated an automobile agency in
    East Ferry St. near Main St.. approximately
    15 years before going
    West. He was born in Depew, and
    later moved to Lockport, where he
    attended the Lockport High School
    He was a member of Lockport
    Lodge of Masons.
    Surviving are two children. Mrs.
    Jack Miller of Berkeley, Cal. and
    John H. Boye of Sowtelle, Cal,: his
    mother. Mra. Mary Boye of Lockport;
    three brothers and two sisters.

    Mrs. Mary A. Kandt, 69, of
    256 Willow St., widow pf Otto
    W. Kandt, former partner in
    the Prudden & Kandt Funeral
    Home, died Wednesday (Aug.
    28, 1968) at Hilltop Nursing
    Home, Gasport, after a long
    illness.
    She was born March 11, 1899
    in Lancaster, a daughter of the
    late Henry and Mary Heinz
    Boye, and had resided in Lockport
    for 65 years. Mr. Kandt
    died Nov. 6, 1956.
    Mrs. Kandt was a member of
    Trinity Lutheran Church, it's
    Ladies Aid Society and Lutheran
    Women's Missionary League.
    Surviving are a daughter,
    Mrs. Walter (Helen) Hanson of
    Mauston, W;s.; two sons, Walter
    A. Kandt of Lockport and
    Karl W. Kandt of Hilton; one
    brother, Edward H. Boye of
    Buffalo and a sister, Miss
    Emma F. Boye of Rochester;
    also 12 grandchildren and several
    nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call today from
    7 to 9 p.m. and from 2 to 4
    and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at
    the Prudden & Kandt Funeral
    Home, 242 Genesee St., where
    funeral services will be held at
    11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev, Ernest
    E. Heuer, pastor of Trinity
    Lutheran Church, will officiate.

    Retired Farmer
    A retired Appleton farmer,
    Frank J. Boye, 67. died this morning
    (Feb. 6, 1959) in a Lockport
    nursing home.
    Born Jan. 1, 1892 in Lancaster,
    he was a World War 1 veteran.
    After his discharge, he was employed
    by the B. F. Goodrich
    Rubber Co, of Akron, Ohio, from
    1920 until 1934. He returned to
    this area and operated a farm in
    Appleton until 1946. when he retired.
    Mr. Boye was a member
    of B. Leo Dolan Post 410. American
    Legion. He was the widow of
    Jessie Tong Boye.
    Survivors include his mother,
    Mrs. Mary Boye of Lockport; a
    brother, Edward H. Boye of Buffalo;
    and two sisters, Mrs. Otto
    W. Kandt of Lockport and Miss
    Emma F. Boye of Rochester;
    and several nieces and nephews.
    Two brothers. John C. and Victor
    R. Boye, preceded him in
    death.
    Friends may call tomorrow at
    the Prudden & Kandt Funeral
    Home. 242 Genesee St.. where
    private services will be held Sunday.

    in City Hospital.
    He was born in Newfane, but

    served as secretary of the Republi-
    can City Committee and as a member

    Jacket Lodge No. 686, F&AM, and

    Obituary of Doralyn B. Marshall

    Doralyn B. Marshall of Lockport died on March 16, 2021 at Millard Suburban Hospital. She was born in Lockport on December 13, 1932 the daughter of the late Victor R. and Marguerite (Weber) Boye.  Doralyn graduated from Lockport High School and Buffalo State College, earning both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in education. She taught for a number of years in the Niagara Falls public school system. She married and later stayed home to raise their two children.
     
    When returning to work Doralyn was employed by the Niagara County Refuse Disposal District for 15 years. Upon the NYS mandate for waste management, she became Niagara County Recycling Educator, promoting the message of reduce, reuse and recycle to the public. She retired from Niagara County in 1991 and then worked for about 8 years in a legal office.  Doralyn succeeded in earning her private pilot's license at age 58 and enjoyed flying for nearly 20 years. She also was an avid sailor beginning in 1945 as an original tiller jockey on the Olcott Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program.  She enjoyed crewing on her daughter and son-in-law's sailboat in Olcott and had enjoyed Lake Ontario her whole life. She was a member of the Olcott Yacht Club.
     
    Doralyn also enjoyed civic and political topics and served for many years as an elected Republican Committeeman. She had served the City of Lockport as a member of the Park and Shade Tree Commission. Her interest in local concerns
    made her a frequent citizen attendee and speaker at the Common Council meetings. She was a member and past vestryman of Grace Episcopal Church in Lockport.  Doralyn took most pleasure in being part of a happy family and in the
    sharing of many occasions and memories.
     
    She was predeceased by her brother, Victor W. Boye and nephew, V. Richard Boye.  Doralyn is survived by her children, Susan (Mark) Cassidy of Olcott and Alan (Julie) Marshall of Geneseo; grandsons Gregory Marshall of NYC and ThomasMarshall of Geneseo; and also nieces Nancy Pohlman and Vicky Wysocki.
     
    Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Inurnment will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery.  Donations to, The Olcott Mantel Club, PO Box 832, Olcott, NY 14126, to support the Olcott Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program would be appreciated by the family.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.

    Robert W. Kandt, 69, died Dec. 25, 2022 in the comfort of his home. He was born July 29, 1953 in Lockport, NY and graduated from Lockport Senior High School. He attended the University of Kentucky where he occasionally took classes and eventually graduated in 1983. Kandt was known for his love of the Buffalo Bills (Go Bills!), golf, baseball and most other sports (except definitely not soccer), witty headlines, appropriately placed curse words, beef on weck, and Top 40 hits of his time (inexplicably referred to as "oldies.") Kandt worked at 803 South, a local bar that was regrettably torn down to make room for the underpass on South Broadway. It was at this bar that he honed his musical trivia skills and met his wife. He went on to enjoy his work as Assistant Sports Editor and later as News Editor at the Lexington Herald-Leader, from which he retired in 2012. Kandt moved to Camarillo, CA in 2014, where he golfed as often as possible and volunteered at River Ridge Golf Club in his spare time. He returned to Lexington in 2017, enjoying the proximity of his children and grandchildren and continuing to golf as often as possible. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Catherine Dixon Kandt, daughter Sara (Matt) Galyon, grandchildren Asher and Sky, son Ben (Taylor) Starling, siblings Barbara Kandt, Karen (Mark) Meyer, Susan Kandt, and Charles (LuAnn) Kandt, as well as several nieces, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruth Meier Kandt. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Woodford Humane Society.

    LOCKPORT — V. Richard Boye, 46, passed away on May 19, 2012. Born on May 25, 1965 in Lockport, he was the son of Patricia (Rooney) Boye of Lockport and the late Victor W. Boye, who passed away in 1978. He was a graduate of Lockport High School and also SUNY Fredonia. Richard worked for Michael's in Amherst.

    Besides his mother, he is also survived by several sisters; nephew of Doralyn B. Marshall of Lockport; and also several cousins.

    There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
