Funeral services for John D.
Boyer, 84, Sour Home road, town of
Pendleton, who died at 1 o'clock
Sunday morning after a long illness,
will be held Tuesday afternoon at
2 o'clock at the home. The Rev.
Karl Kindt, pastor of St. Paul's
Evangelical Lutheran church, Wendelville,
will officiate. Burial will
be in Bear Ridge cemetery.
Mr. Boyer was born Aug. 20, 1856,
in the town of Pendleton and lived
there practically all his life. He
leaves three sons, John, Seymour
and Norman Boyer, all of Lockport;
and three daughters, Mrs. Howard
Wolgast, town of Amherst; Mrs.
Wilmer- Goerss, Tonawanda and
Mrs. Charles Wagner, town of Pendleton;
also 12 grandchildren.

Tuesday rooming, June 30, 1953 a t
ten o'clock. Rev. Herbert L. Siegner
officiated. The bearers were: Charles
Wolgast, Paul Wolgast, Carl Boyer,
Norman Boyer, Jr., Kenneth Goerss
and Eugene Goerss. Interment in
Acacia Psrk Cemetery.

1967) in Lockport Memorial Hospital,
where he had been a patient
for the last six weeks.
He was born Aug. 24. 1886. in
North Tonawanda. and had
lived here for the last 50 years.
Mr* Boyer was a retired experimental
machinist with Simonds
Saw and Steel Co., where
he had been employed for 21
years. He retired in i960.
He was a member of the
Turtle Club here and of Tioga
Tribe No. 289, Redmen.
Survivors include his wife,
Mary; a daughter, Mrs. Cortland
Wilson, this city, and a
son, Carl F. Boyer, Hartland;
a brother, Norman Boyer, Middleport,
and three sisters, Mrs.
Lavina Wagner, Sanborn; Mrs.
Cora Goerss, North Tonawanda,
and Mrs. Amanda Walgast,
Tonawanda; seven grandchil-
dren, 18 great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Prud-
den and Kandt Funeral Home,
where services will be held at
3 p.m. Saturday. Burial will
be in Bear Ridge Cemetery.

Cora E. (nee Boyer) Goerss, 91, of North Tonawanda, Sunday (March 9, 1986) at North Gate Manor Nursing Home. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, ahe was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ and the Women's Fellowship of the church. Wife of the late Wilmer C. Goerss and mother of the late Merrit Goerss.
Mrs. Goerss is survived by three sons, Eugene (Margaret) Goerss and Dennis (Ellen) Goerss, both of North Tonawanda, Kenneth Goerss of the Town of Tonawanda; one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Marie) Burtch of North Tonawanda; two sisters, Mrs. Lavina Wagner of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Amanda Wolgast of Lockport. Grandmother of eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Monday and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wattengel Funeral Home, Inc., 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Friedens United Church of Christ, the Rev Thomas E. Hardy officiating. Interment White Chapel Memorial Park. If desired, memorials may be made to Friedens United Church of Christ.

Hartland St., died unexpectedly Friday (Dec. 13, 1968)
after suffering an apparent heart attack at home.
Born June 4, 1899, the son of
John and Mary Lewerenz Boyer,
he was a retired machinist of
the E&M Machine Shop, Middleport.
Surviving are his wife, Martha
Boyer; a son, Norman J. Boyer
Jr., of San Diego, Calif.; a

Eugene B. Goerss, 88, of Getzville, formerly North Tonawanda Saturday (March 14, 2020) surrounded by family under the care of Hospice Buffalo. Mr. Goerss was born in North Tonawanda on September 14, 1931. Eugene was a Computer Programmer at General Motors, retiring after 39 years, former 5th Ward Alderman for North Tonawanda from 1980-1985, member of Zion United Church of Christ, and former choir member, an avid Bills fan and 53 year season ticket holder.
Mr. Goerss is survived by his wife of 67 years Margaret (Storey) Goerss, father of Judy (Barry) Bermudez, Bruce (Kathy) Goerss, brother of the late Kenneth, Merritt, and Dennis Goerss, and Marie Burtch, grandfather of Angela, Diana, Tony, Christopher, and Rachael, great grandfather of Rowan and Isaac.
A memorial service will be held at Zion United Church of Christ, 15 Koenig Circle Tonawanda, NY 14150 at a date and time to be announced. If desired memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo or Zion United Church of Christ.

NORTH TONAWANDA — Marie Goerss Burtch, age 90, of North Tonawanda, passed to see her Jesus while at Crestwood Health Care Facility on January 10, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Fred Burtch; one daughter, Kathleen (William) Starkweather of Endwell, NY: two grandchildren, Lynn (James) Potenziano of Binghamton, NY; Matthew (Jennifer) Ciesielski, of DeWitt, IA; six great-grandchildren, Kendra and Taylor Potenziano, Faith, Noah, Sara and Matthew Jr. Ciesielski; one brother, Gene (Margaret) Goerss of North Tonawanda; predeceased by brothers, Kenneth, Merritt and Dennis Goerss. She is also survived by two step-sons, John (Bettie) Burtch and Tom (Nancy) Burtch; step-grandchildren, Steven and Michael Burtch.

Marie worked in the attendance and guidance office at Sweet Home High School for 12 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the DeGraff Hospital Auxiliary and the North Tonawanda Senior Citizens.

There will be no prior visitation but friends and family are invited to a memorial service to be announced at a later date. Private burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Park. Patricia A. Boyer of Lockport entered in to rest on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in the care of Niagara Hospice House, Lockport. Patricia was born in Lockport, on May 10, 1941 and the daughter of the late Carl and Frances Boyer. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and playing bingo, watching the NY Yankees and football.

Mother of Christopher Hughes of Seattle, WA; and grandmother of Brianna, Landon and Isabelle Hughes. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Lance, James, Jr., Ron, Valery, Sheena, Linda and Kathy. She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews. Patricia is predeceased by her brothers, James (Ruth) Boyer and Karl (Linda) Boyer; and sister, Beverly Navarro.

There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.

Uncle Lance had many great friends. Lance graduated high school in 1981. He belonged to the American Legion, Moose Club, the Navy Marine Club. He loved to do volunteer work and he was very active in his great-nieces' and great-nephews' lives.
He enjoyed cooking and he also enjoyed entertaining. He was a very smart-humored man that loved collecting coins.
He is survived by his daughter, Missy Dawn Boyer; and his siblings, Sheena Boyer (Laurey Kenward), Valerie Roberts, Jim Boyer, Jr., Ronald Boyer and Linda (Robert) Peterson.
