Albert K. Genet, age 81, entered into rest on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Lockport Memorial Hospital. Born November 9, 1927, in Gasport, he was the son of the late August and Rose (nee Raduns) Genet. Albert attended Gasport High School and then served in the US Navy from July 9, 1948 until June 23, 1952 as an Electrician Mate Fireman. He was stationed in Green Cove Springs, FL in the Submarine group 2 Florida group Atlantic Fleet. After the service he married Carol Mann, July 10, 1954 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lockport. He retired from Niagara County Highway Department in 1979, where he was a sign painter and erector. Albert was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Middleport, the Royalton Zoning Board of Appeals for 35 years, 10 years as chairman. He was also a member of the Royalton Republican Committee for 20 years and chairman for 15 years and a member of the Niagara County Republican Committee for 20 years, and a member of its Executive Committee. He enjoyed restoring antique and old cars, watching old movies, stock car races, traveling with family, and was especially proud of his craftsmanship in building truck campers. Albert had lived in Royalton Center for over 50 years. His loving wife, Carol Genet survives him. Dear father of Joanne (David) Haseley of Middleport, Ellen (Chris) Baxter of the United Kingdom and the late Mark L. Genet. Brother of Helen (Donald) Toennissen of Ocala, FL and the late Alvin, John and Roy. Also survived by four step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ida M. Kane of Medina, passed away on May 10, 2017 at the Medina Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Kane was born in the Town of Royalton, December 30, 1921, a daughter of the late John W. and Ida E. (Mittlestadt) Raduns. 
She was employed by Harrison Radiator Division of GMC from 1954-57 and on July 27, 1957 she married Wilbur F. Kane. Mrs. Kane was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville. She enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. Mr. and Mrs. Kane resided in Knowlesville for 43 years before she moved to Medina in 1995. 
Survivors include her daughter, Debra Kane of Sarasota, FL; several nieces and nephews, including Betty Munson of Middleport, James Raduns of Lyndonville, Diane Johnson of Lockport and a very good friend, Shirley (Rev. Donald) Willman of Akron. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilbur, in 1983; her granddaughter, Shelby Lyn Miller; four sisters, Louise Raduns, Irene Lindke, Mildred Weeks and Helen Huerta; three brothers, Walter, Homer and Robert Raduns.

MIDDLEPORT - Norman Raduns, 78, of Akron, died Sept. 4 at Buffalo General Hospital. Mr. Raduns was born Sept 23, 1916. He was the son of the late Gustave and Lillian Lindke Raduns. He began his auction business in 1957 starting with his father-in-law, George Karcher, and retired as an auctioneer in 1993. He retired from Akron Central School in 1979. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville, where he was a former Sunday School superintendent and a former Church Council member. He was also a member of the Royalton Historical Society, the Newstead Historical Society and the Wolcottsville Golden Agers. He and his wife, the former Vida Karcher, were married on June 22, 1940 in Akron. He was predeceased by two brothers, Elmer Raduns and Alton Raduns, and a sister, Lydia Fiegel. In addition to his wife, survivors include one son and one daughter, Thomas (Penny) Raduns of Akron, Nancy (Myron) Washil of York, Pa.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Melvin (Billie) Raduns, of Wolcottsville; a sister, Florence Fry, of Wolcottsville; two sisters-in-law, Letha Raduns of Medina and Esther Raduns of Wolcottsville, and several nieces and nephews. Marjorie and Kenneth were lifelong, faithful members of St. Michaels Lutheran Church. They enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and camping with their family and friends. 
Survived by her children, Carolyn (Norman) Lasal and Richard (Kathy) Baehr; grandchildren, Donna (Robert) Willadsen, Gary Lasal, James (Amy) Baehr, and Susan (Michael) Beiswenger; and nine great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother, Gerald (Emily) Raduns; sister-in-laws, Gloria Rastelli and Dorothy Baehr. Predeceased by her siblings, Ronald and Mabel Raduns.

George M. Jago, age 77, died January 14, 2023 in his home following a brief illness.  He was born June 14, 1945 in the Town of Royalton to Melvin and Dorothy (Fitch) Jago and was a life-long resident of the area. 
 
George was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a member of the New York State and National Trappers Associations as well as the NRA.  He loved to hunt, trap, and be outdoors.  One of his greatest joys however, was to be with his family as he was a loving husband and father. 
 
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Lois, his daughters: Luann Tobin of Wrights Corners, Laura (Michael) Bishop of Lockport, his brothers: Fred (Dorothea) Jago of Wolcottsville, William (Darlene) Jago of Akron, his sister: Brenda (Les) Bower of Lockport, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Born September 28, 1930 in the Town of Royalton, Betty was a daughter of the late William and Irene (Raduns) Lindke. She graduated from Royalton-Hartland High School in the class of 1948. Betty was a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She worked as a secretary for the Royalton-Hartland Elementary School. Betty enjoyed knitting, quilting and was an avid reader.
Predeceased by her husband, Charles R. Munson on July 20, 1954; and brother, William Lindke.
Survivors include her two daughters, Donna (Sidney) Lovell of Medina and Marcia (Paul) Kempton of Lebanon, TN; seven grandchildren, Beth Goodman, Sean (Shelia) Lovell, Scott Lovell, Paul (Jennifer) Kempton III, Burton Kempton, Amy (Alex) McElroy and David (Katie) Kempton; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Audrey Nachreiner; sister in-law, Carol Lindke; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at a later date. Private interment will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery. Richard E. Raduns, age 82, died peacefully in his home October 9, 2022 surrounded by his family.   

He was born September 26, 1940 in Buffalo to Elmer and Esther (Wagner) Raduns and was a life-long resident of this area.  Richard was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, the UAW, and enjoyed golfing , playing cards, horseshoes, softball and being outdoors.  Above all he had an undying love for his family and his Lord.  Mr. Raduns was predeceased by a sister: Janet Braun. 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Vivian, his children: Betty (David) Hunt of Middleport, Dwayne (Denise) Raduns of Wolcottsville, Daniel (Jennifer ) Raduns of Somerset, David Raduns of CO, Richard Raduns of NJ, Cheryl (Todd) Dimitroff of Middleport, a brother Dale Raduns of Shelby as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces.

of Wolcottsville passed away on June 20, 2018. She was born on August 17, 1937 to Melvin and Ester (Witkop) Raduns.
Born and raised in Royalton, NY, Myrna attended Akron High School and married Donald Yoder. She worked for many years as "The Lunch Lady" at Akron High School. Myrna loved cooking and cleaning for her family and had a passion for gardening; growing unusual varieties of houseplants and flowers which were proudly displayed throughout her home.   
Besides her beloved husband of 54 years, Donald Yoder, Myrna is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Poole and Cheryl (Robert) Smith; her grandchildren, Jonathan (Katie) Poole, JoAnn Hines, Michael (Holly) Smith; great grandchildren, Jamison, and Annabella as well as a brother, Gary (Carol) Radus.

Yvonne Poole
 of Akron went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2019. She was born January 18, 1959 in Batavia, New York to Donald and the late Myrna (Raduns) Yoder.
 
She was a 1977 graduate of Akron Central High School. After graduating, she continued her education and earned a degree in nursing. Nursing was perfect for Yvonne as she loved working with people and had a gift for serving others. She especially enjoyed teaching Sunday school. She also loved playing the piano and gardening when she was able.
 
A son, Jonathan (Katie) Poole and a sister, Cheryl (Robert) Smith survive Yvonne. She is also survived by a niece and nephew, Joann Hines, Michael (Holly) Smith and great niece and nephew, Anna Bella and Jamison..
 
A Funeral Service will take place at the Clarence Center- Akron Mennonite Church on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11 a.m.
