the First Christian church will be
held for Mrs. Mary C. Willis, 57,
of 1119 Pasadena avenue, who was
stricken fatally while attending a
church meeting in Buffalo on Saturday.
The Rev. Jesse J. Simoson, minister
of the First Christian church, will
conduct the services. Mrs. Willis was
an active worker in that church and
in the Women's Benefit association
at the church.
She was a native of Buffalo but
had lived in Niagara Falls most of
her life.
Surviving are her husband, Perry
L. Willis, Sr.; three daughters, Mrs.
Jackson Zimmerman and Miss Alice
Willis, both this city, and Mrs. John
Shirback, .Ransomville; a son. Perry
L. Willis, Jr.: two sisters, Mrs. Richard
Willis, this city, and Mrs. Gerald
McCollum, Ransomville; three
brothers, Alexander and Arthur Bratt,
this city, and Leonard Bratt, Saltsville,
Va. She is also survived by several
nieces and nephews and 16 grandchildren.
Burial will be in North Ridge
cemetery.

Bradt, 64, of Niagara Falls,
administrator of the Western New
York district of the State Workmen's
Compensation Board, died
Sunday at a hospital.
Bradt, who was appointed to the
state post under Governor Dewey
in 1945, had become ill in his Buffalo
office Tuesday and was taken
to the hospital Friday.
He was a former secretary of
the Niagara County Republican
Committee.
He is survived by his widow,
two children, two brothers, two sisters
and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Wednes
day.

and Masonic leader here, died Sunday (May 19, 1963) at
Memorial Hospital.
The administrator of the Western New York District
for the State Workmen's Compensation Board since June
1, 1945, Mr. Bradt was stricken in his office at the State
Office Building, Buffalo, last Tuesday. He entered the
hospital Friday.
A native of Dunville, Onf..,
Mr. Bradt lived here 49 years.

E. Dewey's administration
named him compensation administrator.

somville; two brothers, Ar-
thur Bradt, North Tonawanda,
and Leonard Bradt, Irving-
ton, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs.
Jerald McCollum, Ransom-
ville, and Mrs. Richard Willis,
this city; and five grandchil-
dren.

Born Sept. 3, 1905, in Niagara

and had lived in this community
for the past 44 years.
She was the widow of A. J
McCollum who died in November,
1967.
Mrs. McCollum also served as
treasurer for the Ransomville
Speedway aad formerly was
treasurer for many years of
Ransomville Unit 830, American
Legion Auxiliary.

Judy Wilson, born on October 29, 1941, passed away peacefully after a brief illness under the care of Hospice at Northgate Manor in North Tonawanda. She was born in North Tonawanda and was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Clara (White) Bradt also of North Tonawanda. She is survived by two children, Robert (Lori) Culver of Mesa, AZ and Barbara (Albert) Knerr of West Valley, NY. She was also survived by two brothers, William Bradt of Chicago, IL and John (Pinky) Bradt of West Valley, NY; four grandchildren, Jillian and Kristen Culver from Arizona, Ginelle and AJ Knerr both of New York; and companion, Russ Colosi of New York. She was loved by many and will be missed. Judy has donated her body to UB Science Dept. There will be no services. A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

Life story

William A. Shirback, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on January 10, 2020.  Born on December 1, 1943 in Lewiston, NY, he was the son of the late John A. Shirback, Sr. and the late Eleanor Corlena (Willis) Shirback.

Bill, as he was known, was a longtime area resident and graduate Lewiston-Porter High School, however, he and his longtime partner of 40 years, Gail, owned and operated a tree farm and firewood business in Canada.  Locally Bill was employed as a laborer for various factories and later in life worked security for several businesses.  He proudly served in the United States Navy from June 29, 1961 until his honorable discharge on December 22, 1964.

In addition to is partner, Gail (Stickland) Oster, Bill is survived by children, Amanda, Renee, Dione, Todd, Kristen and Robin; and grandchildren.  Survivors also include, siblings, John (Wretha) Shirback, Jr., Carol (Jim) Crowley, Nancy (late Robert) Stockham, Patricia (late Daniel) Nicholls, Dennis (Pamela) Shirback and Mark (Tina Tusa) Shirback and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by a brother, Perry (late Dorothy) Shirback.

Robert (Papa Bob) Willis, Jr., 65, of Newfane, NY entered into rest on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. Robert was born on February 23, 1955 in Niagara Falls, NY to Robert and Luella (Pearson) Willis. He was the loving husband of Gail (Rosh) for 45 years. In 2017 he retired from Olin Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls after 37 years. Being a Papa to his six grandchildren was the highlight of his life. He loved spending time with his family, working with his hands, fishing and swimming with his grandkids. He and Gail were avid cruisers, exploring new places, playing the slots and tables. He especially enjoyed multiple trips to Ireland to visit his daughter-in-law’s family.
