    Brandt, widow of William
    Brandt died yesterday at the
    Cherry Hill Nursing Home. She
    was 93.
    Mrs. Brandt was born in Orchard
    Park, Feb. 18, 1873, a
    daughter of Ernest and Louise
    Bramer, and for the past 70
    years had resided at 144 Canal
    St.
    She is survived by two daughters,
    Mrs. George Eckert, and
    Mrs. Carl Schindler, both of
    Lyons; 13 grandchildren; 36
    great-grandchildren; four greatgreat-
    grandchildren; and several
    nieces and nephews.
    A prayer service will be Monday
    at 11 a.m. in the Weeks
    Funeral Home, with a service
    at 2 p.m. in St. John's Lutheran
    Church. Rev. Robert Kroth
    will officiate, with burial in toe
    South Lyons Cemetery at the
    convenience of the family.
    Friends may call at the funeral
    home from 2-5 and 7-9
    p.m.
    Contributions may be made to
    the St John's Memorial Fund.

    K. Metz, died Jan. 28 in Strong
    Memorial Hospital, Rocheter, af-
    ter being a patient there for a
    month.
    The body was brought to the
    Frederick Bochelm & Sons Fun-
    eral Home,, 19 Jackson Street,
    where a familly prayer service
    was held at 2 p.m. Sunday fol-
    lowed by a service at 2:30 p.m.
    at St. John's Lutheran Church
    with the Rev.. George Whitock,
    pastor, officiating. Burial was in
    South Cemetery.
    Mrs. Metz was born July 12,
    1897, in Lyons, daughter of Wil-
    liam and Augusta Bremer Brandt,
    and she always lived in the town-
    ship. She was a member of the
    Ladies Aid Society and Mission-
    ary Society of St. John's Church.
    Survivors besides Mr. Metz are
    four daughters,, Miss Mildred
    Metz, Miss Shirley Metz, and
    Mrs Frank Sholly of Lyons and
    Mrs. Michael Quagliata of Ro-
    chester; two sons,, Karl Metz of
    Lyons and Robert Metz of New-
    ark; two sisters, Mrs.. George Ec-
    kert and Mrs. Carl Schindler of
    Lyons, nine grandchildren, nieces
    and nephews.

    The Barge Canal took another
    life Saturday when Dale Pichird
    Conrad. 5 years old. son of Robert
    Conrad and Edna Mae Brandt
    Conrad fell from an inner tube
    on which he hid been floating
    and was drowned.
    His body was recovered hy
    State trooper*, with the aid of
    the Lyons Fire Department. In
    fact, the firemen performed so
    valiantly in drawing for the body
    and the vilVigers at hand were
    so anxious to help them that
    Corporal W.. J. Lally, command-
    ;ng officer of the Newark State
    Police Station, called The Lyons
    Republican A Clyde Times to
    praise the firemen for their work.
    Funeral services for the victim
    were conducted at 2:30 p. m.
    Tuesday at the Weeks Funeral
    Home, with the Rev. J. Russell
    Fink. D. D. officiating. Burial
    was in South Cemetery.
    Survivors besides the parents
    are two brothers. Robert Eugene
    and Darrow; two sisters. Donna
    and Marlene.
